To be honest, Ghost Trick was the most latest game I finished on the DS (which was around 2 months ago). I haven't touched my DS after that, but I would pick it up again if these two Digimon games would get translated. >:
They don't kid around when they say a 'new beginning.' XD Also, I think they are starting to pay attention to the plot more, and while doing that, they are still paying attention to the gameplay, graphics and all that technical stuff. It's no wonder that the games had gotten a perfect score from Famitsu.
Actually, I think you have a point there. B/W's storyline was a bit more interesting, with more rivals, and N and the whole changing the world sort of thing. Although it kinda reminded me of Hippies or PETA trying to take over the world, haha. I guess the old games were just generic story lines. Maybe the future games might have a more details story line, but I still enjoy my endless battles and training of pokemon.
I completely agree about the storyline, I think since I've been playing Pokémon games and the different generations for years, I keep imagining the storyline to just be "get 8 badges and beat e4 and become champion." And it gets so repetitive, but I think B/W made me really pay attention to the storyline more.
Pokemon I see is a game that can always be replayed, since there are so many pokemon to choose from, so there are so many possibilities of different teams and what not. At least that's why I've always replayed pokemon. The storyline doesn't really tend to stand out too much, since there isn't much of a story line to follow.
Yeah, I think the only games I replay nowadays is Pokémon. I usually want to forget the story completely before playing it again, but it's rather hard to forget the storyline if it's sooo good. This happens to me with re-watching anime too. XD
