Oh no. The is being italics is fine. I'm more concerned about the fact that it says 'in' and not 'on'. But I guess it's just because I'm used to saying 'is on time' and not 'is in time'. idk. xD
I intentionally made it "barely anyone is in time", I don't think it changes its meaning that much in this case :P
Thinking a bit about it, you might have a point that your way is more logical, actually.
