November 13th, 2009 2:50 PMLady GagaI know I do :[
Well, you would need to just need to do CSS, which unfortunatly I know nothing about. So sorry. -
November 13th, 2009 2:45 PMChesuHey, you change your signature every eight minutes, maybe you can help me out. I know nothing about BB Code, and I was wondering how to do alt text like in Abnegation's signature.

November 8th, 2009 1:23 PMChesuSo, how did the animation experiment go?
-
November 8th, 2009 11:22 AMChesuMS Paint for editing the sprites and making the frames, Jasc's Animation Shop 3 for animating them.
-
November 8th, 2009 10:32 AMLady GagaAlright...XD
So what program did you use? -
November 8th, 2009 9:57 AMChesu..S'wrong with you? Okay, I'll explain how I do it.

Step One: Grab the sprites you'll be using. I've chosen Pichu and Cherubi; if you want Cherrim, you'll have to learn real fast! >:D
Step Two: As I've mentioned before, animations without a moving environment have to move within their frames to give the illusion of movement. In sprites facing the screen or with their backs to it, it just doesn't look right without at least three unique frames. So, I edit the arms and legs of the sprites into a neutral position (in the case of Pichu and Cherubi, that's just cutting off their legs) and change any moving features around. For example, if you look at Cherubi's leaves and creepy little Kuato cherry in the original animation, you'll see that the leaves bounce up in the first frame, and the cherry drops down. If you look at step two, you'll see that I've made the leaves bounce up in both stepping sprites, and drop in the neutral sprite. Here's an example of the difference modifications like these make:
<-original---mine->
Step Three: Create your frames! The most important thing here is to make sure that all frames are the same size (that's why they're arranged the way they are, there are only three frames, not five), and that your sprites don't move to the left or right any.
Step Four: I like to make the background a bright color not used anywhere on the sprites, usually this obnoxious shade of green, before pasting the frames into Animation Shop. This is because the white used in the sprites' eyes might be close enough to R255-G255-B255 (pure white) that when I make the background transparent, it will make the eyes transparent as well. Once I've pasted the frames into an animation in the order of neutral-step1-neutral-step2, I set the duration of each frame to forty one hundredths of a second, then make the green background transparent and watch the animation run to make sure that it's all going smoothly. If I'm happy with it, I save it as an animated gif.
Here's the finished product!

..and here are the walking forward sprites for Cherrim. Have fun! -
November 8th, 2009 6:07 AMLady Gagaoh man oh man oh man.
you must hate me right now...
LAST REQUEST I PROMISE!
Would you be able to change the Smeargle and Salamence into a Cherrim and Pichu?
Thank you so much.
(maybe if I actually learned how to do it, I would stop asking XD) -
November 3rd, 2009 6:57 PMLady GagaIm sorry. At first they were random pokes (the arcanine, jiggly, etc), and this new one is my Battle Frontier team x3
-
November 3rd, 2009 3:14 PMChesuOy... Are there even any Pokemon you actually like? >_>

-
November 3rd, 2009 5:08 AMLady GagaHey Carrot, im back. First of all, I would like to say thank so very much for everything. I am very impressed with your work. I know it isnt much, but its alot more than I could do x3
Just one little thing, could you change the Umbreon into a Smeargle? Thank you ;3 -
November 1st, 2009 4:19 PMChesuI changed the two-frame animations into four-frame ones... There's no scenery to show them moving past, so to make it look like they're actually moving they have to step forward, which you can't really do in two frames.

November 1st, 2009 11:16 AMLady GagaHey you. I am back again for my HG/SS sprites :]
Could you have, in this order, Umbreon, Miltank, and Salamence walking, facing forward? Thanks :]
