Nice, they do seem quite similar. I'm the same, I speak it good but Scottish Gaelic isn't really spoken around my area so there's no way to practice it with real people. The only language that people speak round my area is Scottish (not Scottish Gaelic) and sometimes it's hard when you're speaking to someone who's not from Scotland as you have to try and use English words. I'm used to speaking in English online but I find it hard when I'm face to face with someone haha.
Yeah, I recognised the 'Tha mi ag iarraidh' part, it's the same in Irish Gaelic only it's spelt 'Tá mé ag iarraidh'. 'Briosgaid' is also similar to the Irish 'briosca'. I heard the two languages were like one another, but I didn't know they were THAT similar.
Yeah, I speak Irish, reasonably fluently. Although the only areas people speak it as a main language are to the very west, the north, and some areas in the south of Ireland- I'm in the center of the country, so there's no real way to practice it, lol.
Yes I do mind...
Nah just kdding ;)
It's not Irish, it's Scottish Gaelic :P
It means "I want a cookie"
Do you speak Gaelic? (Irish not Scottish as I see you're from Ireland :P)
