September 13th, 2015 11:03 AMSpinosaurusThe open world aspect of the game is pretty bad and adds nothing, but fortunately it's not intrusive for the most part. The open world is just really barren without much you could do in it besides snaking past guard posts, but for the most part you can drop near the mission area. Traversal is also not bad, especially once you get D(rift)-Walker.
I like the game a lot just for the depth it offers. It's pretty much like MGS3 with how you can approach situations in any way you like but they kicked it up a notch here. Honestly the best mechanics in the whole series with how satisfying and rewarding it is. Enemies also can actually adapt to your strategies so there's another added layer of depth there. (Like if you headshot with the tranq a lot, they start to wear helmets all the time, which happened to me lmao) Too bad game seems unfinished overall, though. -
September 12th, 2015 5:02 PMwolfHow do you like TPP? :o Do the open world mechanics fit in well? I've already finished MGS4, so I'm playing Peace Walker right now. I'm not sure when I'll buy MGSV. Might wait until Ground Zeroes goes on sale if it doesn't take too long.

August 26th, 2015 1:31 PMSpinosaurusHaha yeep. I miss the static portraits.
Really excited. It's only 6 days left but it feels so far away lol. Was going to play Ground Zeroes today in anticipation, but I lost my copy. :V I'm pretty just trying to catch early streams of the game. -
August 26th, 2015 10:35 AMwolfThanks! Yours is nice too. MGS1 has the best codec display.
Are you excited for MGS5? I've been playing through the series in anticipation for it. I'm on MGS4 and I just have Peace Walker left. -

April 27th, 2013 10:30 AMSpinosaurusIt's probably my favorite transition to 3D yet. The artstyle just works so well. Too bad Pokemon couldn't do the same, but Capcom is better than Nintendo at their own system anyway.
Can't wait for the game. But I need my Gummy! -

I'm pretty impressed at how well they did with the transition from 2D to 3D. -

November 7th, 2012 1:28 PMSpinosaurusYeah I always preferred traditional colors. It's either black or white, but for Gameboy systems I go with blue. So European only has the japanese dub? If so, perfect. I usually prefer English dubs but I'm learning Japanese in school so...

November 7th, 2012 12:27 PMwolfi changed my mind; i'd rather have a neutral color like black. i would probably get tired of purple anyway, but i still think it looks nice. and i say go with the 3ds version because of the superior touch screen controls, especially with zero escape being a point-and-click adventure. not to mention that there's an option to take notes using the touch screen as far as i know, and that might be difficult to use with the vita. then again, vita has better resolution and graphics plus trophies, so it depends on what matters more to you. also, i've heard that the european release doesn't have the english dub (which was good apparently), so you could import the vita version from america to get it.
