November 11th, 2012 5:34 PMSekiArgh... I can you gimme another question? That question... is weird.
-
November 11th, 2012 5:25 PMThe Grubby Pupwhat the hell? LOL If I knew, I wouldn't be failing horribly in that class. >_<
-
November 11th, 2012 2:23 AMSeki-10x2 + 810 = 0
wait... is the 'x' times or 10x + 2 + 810? or 10x times 2 +810? -
November 10th, 2012 9:10 PMThe Grubby PupOh, sorry...I want and found another question. Okay, so...Hmm...okay how about...Uh...Quadratic Equation? Do you guys do something like that? If I remember correctly, it goes something like this:
-10x2 + 810 = 0 -
November 10th, 2012 8:48 PMThe Grubby Pupthat was basic, bro. I was only showing you what it looked like over. But...seriously? You saw an Equation like that in 5/6 grade. O_O Wow...Just...Wow. You were doing Alegbra in that grade?! *le gasp* I can assure you, I didn't. Oh, shall I show you another one? Oh, Algebra 1 is usually presented to you when you reach 9th...And that's pretty much all I know since I never gotten passed that. My older brother passed that class and took Geometry afterward and finally Algebra 2.

November 10th, 2012 8:41 PMSekiWTF. Its too easy. I seen that when I was like 5/6th grade (primary 5/6). The answer is x=13 right??
-
November 10th, 2012 8:37 PMThe Grubby Pupoh, I almost for your question. Hm...Let me see if I can remember one...Aha, how about dis: Basic Equations? 12= 1x + 1 (I basically copied this outta my text book)
-
November 10th, 2012 8:32 PMSekiLike I say, the education system from where I come from and from where you come from is different, I have no idea what's Algebra 1. Just give me an example of an question and if I can do it, I should be able to help you.
-
November 10th, 2012 8:30 PMThe Grubby PupThanks. And yeah, I’ll remember the next time a big ass test comes up. Which always seems to come before a big holiday around; thanksgiving, so it’ll might be sooner than later. LOL And believe me bro, your grades are better. When I said I was failing miserably, true me…I wasn’t overstatin‘…I was dead-ass serious. My grades are horrible. Worst part is, I’m still doing Algebra 1, since I‘m in 11th I should at least be on the 2nd level…I just don‘t get it. *sighs* And you don’t wanna know my grade point average in that class…I’m ashamed. :’(

November 10th, 2012 7:55 PMSekiEnjoy your winter break! And sure, drop me some questions on Algebra, I got 60/100 on Maths, 50% of the questions are all algebra, got every single correct hehe. Fortunately logarithms is at another subject called Additional Mathematics, which I got 20/80, an achievement indeed, considering that I got 5/100 for my first exam (i have 2 exams every year and many tests that can count onto the overall percentage/average).
And I just want to ask, whats a typical Maths/Algebra question in the States, it might vary in format from mine. Or simply too difficult for me. -
November 10th, 2012 7:48 PMThe Grubby PupOh, I figured that much already. Just thought I give a slice of my life. (Rhymes) But yeah, I did here that IT IS harder overseas and stuff. Not to sound stereotypical, but you Asians are known for your…brain-straining knowledge. >_<
But real talk, you’re good with algebra maybe you can help me nowadays. LOL And yeah, I’ve seen that logarithms stuff before…Let’s just say I stood there with my mouth agape, drool slowly coming down my mouth. >.< And yeah, same here…My second term starts after winter break…which happens to be in January. -
November 10th, 2012 7:38 PMSekiWe don't follow what credit system that you're talking about. Education is very strict here though. I am quite okay with algebra, but if you're talking about logarithms, I suck. And in here, a new semester starts in January, so I am secondary 4 next year.
-
November 10th, 2012 7:35 PMThe Grubby PupMmm, secondary 4? Well, if you’re 15 and if you were living in America then most likely you’ll be in the 10th, so yeah. Anyways, you need a certain average to past a grade? Mm…Well, I know where I from you a certain amount of credit to get promoted. Every class you pass gives you a credit. I can’t remember how you need exactly. But each semester we get 4 classes. There’s 2 semester in all for each year you attend school. Right now, I’m taking Algebra; which I’m failing…horribly, so most like I won’t get any credits for that. Remedial Algebra, Health/Gym and finally Literature/Comprehension or Lit/Comp for short, that‘s what everybody else call it. And don’t worry, dude…It like that where I live too. Immigrants coming into the country and taking most da jobs. Some stuff is just outta your control and I suppose that might need more anyways. They are in a new place and I doubt have way to support their families and whatnot. :p

November 10th, 2012 7:07 PMSekiI barely made it through to Secondary 4 (10th grade I guess), I had an average of 49.0 of all my subjects, the school/government says that if a student had an average of 49.9 and below, they will be retained in that year. Fortunately, there's another rule where if a student fails his or her overall average, they will have to pass 3 subjects, where as I passed 5. And its a competitive society in my country, foreigners coming from up, down, left, right, the government giving them easy citizenship, its hard to find a job in the future with low qualifications.
