Yeah, well that makes two of us. Honestly, there are so many better games than Pokemon right now (or even before it ever came out). Heck, there's better RPGs, and I'm not even all that into the genre. But I can't deny that there's still something special about this series. I mean, why else am I here, and still drawing these things?

When X/Y was announced, all I really thought was "oh. Another." But I checked the videos anyway. Pikachu got me kind of excited for nothing, though, I thought they were gonna make the Pokemon interesting finally (outside of Mystery Dungeon, anyway). :P I'll admit, I sort of like the shift to 3D. It makes the worlds richer, but the graphics need adjusting.

Anyway, I just got done with finals, but I'm going to have them at the end of every month, because that's just the way my school is. Work hard, play hard. Hopefully this month I won't get so sidetracked and have to cram it all. There's just so much stuff I gotta keep on top of, but it's overall helping me get to where I wanna go.

Also, there's only so much you can do as a mod, can't alter free will or nothing. I wouldn't worry about it. I was just having a curious moment is all. :P

That was totally a compliment. XD; I was in awe, you know. :]

And yes, I have noticed it as well. And it is something that has bugged me for quite a while. I've tried to get these people to post more in others' galleries but haven't really succeeded much, I guess. It really feels weird to see how there are 20+ artists on this forum and barely 3-4 contribute actively to maintain activity. Honestly though, I've no idea why they do that. And no, I haven't been a mod for too long. Barely a little more than a month, perhaps. And yes, I try my best to post around. Though if it weren't exam time right now, you'd probably see me posting in every single gallery every single day. :p Hopefully, once I'm done with them and return in April, I'll do my best to make A&D a much better place.

Haha. Well, my works did suck in comparison to yours, Alex's and others' and that's a fact. :p And yeah, you're right. My interest in pokemon has, pretty much, died. Same for digimon. I used to be in LOVE with them in 2009 and I used to get anxious whenever a new game got announced. But nothing pokemon related excites me these days.

Also, you lie. You said you can't draw, but I just saw that gallery over there with all your works from 2009. Hah, don't sell yourself short.

It's really kind of funny, though, because you must've liked Pokemon a lot more back then. And Digimon, it appears. Maybe you haven't been motivated to draw much else since your interest in the franchise waned?

One thing I've noticed is that while it appears the A&D section has gotten a lot more people to post stuff in it, the amount of people who actually comment in others galleries still seems to be low. And I'm not even talking about those who don't have galleries themselves.

I'd assume everyone knows the rules, so it's not that. But silent majority sort of doesn't make sense either considering that, again, most of these people already have galleries, so I'm pretty sure they know how to leave vaild feedback.

I'm just saying, I guess. It seems like the ones of us who make an effort to leave a lot of feedback for people is Alexial and myself (though I see you in a lot of topics now and then too, but I always just assume you're doing mod duties from the sidelines, heheh). I guess I'm just not quite understanding why people are so quiet outside of their own galleries. There's so many of us, and yet there are still plenty of galleries with like, 2 comments not counting the OP's replies. Is there a post and run thing going on?

I felt like maybe you have some insight on this, seeing as you've probably been a mod for this section for a while now.

Hahaha, not sure if compliment or put down. Heh, I'm my own harshest critic, though, and I started with the VMs before going anywhere else, so this comment only has context in the moment of right now.

    I knew your stuff was good. But I honestly wasn't expecting to see what I saw. <3;

Thanks, but don't worry 'bout it. I'll have something soonish. Probably won't look as good, but we'll see how it goes.

The animation's ready, but I was swamped with lots of work, and I still have some to do. I'll see about getting a gallery up in a few.

PTSAI is a bit different from PS - at least it seemed to me. So I hope you're doing alright with it. The animation ready now? :D

Also, can I make you a tag? I don't like seeing your signature empty like it is right now and I'd like to do something to show my appreciation to you. You've been a great A&D member, after all. :]

Actually, it's no biggie now. The animation, even as a draft, will still take some time. I'm already working on some filler drawings anyway, if nothing else but just to keep me drawing a bit. I started working on something I'll probably upload onto the website I own anyway, and it's a way to see what PTSAI can do. It's a bit unsuccessful in that I'm using it just like Photoshop, which I guess I might as well have just stuck to, but eh, I'll keep playing with it until I get something that sets it apart.

I'd like to have this gallery up over the weekend, but I've also got a lot of homework, and I may have to work some more on my group's game project. No promises, heh.

You should go for it. I asked to see it before you do just in case the animation you were talking about was just a short one. If you have put a lot of effort, I think it deserves being seen. :D So yes, make a thread. And throw in that you have my permission in there somewhere as well. Since I wouldn't wanna wake up to 3-4 "Not enough works" reports, haha. And I totally understand you not working on your ideas right away. I know some people who do that. Their results are awesome most of the time. :3

It is upto you. You can choose to upload practice stuff along with the animation or just the animation itself. I don't mind. :D

It'll probably end up being about 2 and a half minutes worth at 30 fps, but again, it'll be a draft so it's also selectively animated only where I really need it. I'm not trying to flaut the law or nothin' hah, I'm just not very good at forcing myself to do illustration for illustration's sake. I feel like my drawings need to be used towards something, like a game, animation, comic, or the holidays or something (even my avatar is just a clipped version of an announcement picture). Even if I have ideas, I'll rarely act on them right away unless I'm on a kick or just really want to get it out. Otherwise, I may keep them in the idea bank for a up to a few years. :P

I did, however, just download Paint Tool SAI so maybe I'll just upload some of the better practice stuff from that.

I'll let you open a thread for that, I guess. Though I think I'd prefer to see your stuff first. The decision to let it have a thread of its own for the time being would probably depend, ultimately, on the number of frames. :p

Actually, I meant Pokemon animation as in animated video or cartoon.

Wait, pokemon animation? As in a sprite animation like in games? That's supposed to go in Pixel Art, tbh. And if you wanna make a gallery of rough sketches you can do so. Even if those sketches are old.

I gotta head out to lunch real quick, then I'll at the least get back to Nate with the art tutorials. But real quick, where would I put a Pokemon animation? Could I have a gallery where that's just it for now and add stuff later (even if it's a little older)? It's not four pictures but come on. Even as a rough (and that's what it is, a rough draft) it's still got several drawings. D: I'm also very lazy when it comes to regular old illustration. :P Like, I'll draw a Nido-related picture for each major holiday and that's about it.
