And on Artix's games... I think I might have played one once... not a huge fan. I used to play MMORPGs, but not so much lately (they are an online RPG right?).

Oh... Ever tried any of Artix Entertainment's games? I love them :D... But Mechquest is their least played game... I think >_>

I can see your love for Gardevoir, but Kirlia and Gardevoir both in the same team? O.o... Sorry, but that just seems a bit odd xD

Nothing like that.. Battletech started back in the 1980s as Battledroids the Table top game, but was changed to Battletech due to George Lucas trade marking the word droid. Battletech is mainly a miniatures game (for sexy painted miniature pictures go to www.camospecs.com camospecs are the "offical" painters for Battletech). It expanded into the video game market with the Mechwarrior series, Mechcommander, Cresent Hawks, and MechAssault* are all based off Battletech.

*MechAssault is very LOOSELY based off Battletech some story elements (Word of Blake and Wolf Dragoons are actual factions), and many of the Mechs.

Battletech story wise has some unique elements compared to other Sci Fi:
1: No aliens... just humans killing humans... though some humans are modified themselves to extremes that they might be considered alien (genecaste) but still deep down they are human.

2: Shades of grey... there is no "good guy" everyone has their skeletons and secrets and depending on your point of view you might see some as the "good guys" and others as not... that being said there are cases of almost white and almost black faction wise. There are some white hats and black hats, but mostly it's different shades of grays.

3: Mechs are not like they are in anime... they are not super maneuverable ninja samurai. They are walking tanks basically. While they tend to be the best ground unit they do not dominate everything without effort usually. Tanks, Helicopters, infantry (especially Battle Armor equipped infantry), and Aerotechs (fighters/bombers) can and will take on Mechs and beat them.

Honestly when it comes to pokemon teams I just choose what I like I think my Emerald party is (its changed a bit)
    Gardevoir
    Kirlia
Linoone (sometimes gets pulled out for a HM user)
    Beloom
    Marill (GF likes it)
    a bird for fly...

Horrid team I know... but I don't like the looks of most of the Pokemon out there so... when I can I will put a Mawile in... Sigh I do like the cute Pokemon >.< but I also like the awesome ones too (Scyther, Charizard, Blastoids, and such).

I like the Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir purely due to the consept of being emotion Pokemon. The idea that a pokemon can read and understand human emotion I find interesting. Also I see them as being the most loyal... and I like how the Gardevoir looks :p

Yeah... I just tend to go with Grass starter, a water type, a flying type and usually some other dual types >_>

    Kinda like Mechquest?

I just want to get the RP starteeeeeeed... Even though I already have my hands full with the Platinum, DBZ: Attack of the Saiyans, a Finnish novel, the psychiatric, making food >_>... ETC 8D

Sorry I don't have Platinum and I tend to just go with Pokemon I like... you should see my team in Emerald its horrid >D.

    Battletech Cartoon Episode 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqzEssjkMeU

Battletech itself is a Sci Fi setting that focuses around Mechs (walking tanks not super jumping samuria). While Mechs are the main draw they are not everything in the universe its rather complex with many factions from the 5 Great Houses (often with simularities to cultures/governments seen on earth.. like House Kurita or the Draconus Combine which mimics Fuedal Japan (Mechwarriors are considered Samuria), to the Warrior Caste controlled Clans, to Mercenaries, and Pirates... O yes and can't forget the wonderful toaster lovers the Word of Blake whose Jilhad is coming to a close.

Its much more serious that Pokemon (I mean you have the Word of Blake with their ruthless Manei Domini, the Clans whose lives revolve around combat (heck their training is live fire), and lots of death.).

The cartoon (made years ago) doesn't quite give you the right taste for battletech... O gosh its sooo horrible... watch Bleach or something instead :p

Ya just posted on my wall too...

Umm... That's the thing... Kadabra and Alakazam are ugly :P

    Battletech? *Checks*

The old episodes were nice... Except the fact that it was sooooooo different xD... Pikachu OHKO'ing Ground types with Thundershock was lulz.

Umm... The recommendations for my Pokémon in Platinum?

AM I DUMB OR WHAT? I just accidentally posted on my own wall v_v

Ya well my Gardevoir can teleport also... and attack. If you evolved it or gave it an egg move then it would have the ability to deal some damage to. And you don't need to spend so many levels on it if its just going to teleport everywhere. I play strategy games, and at least in battletech (table top) I love my Fast-Jumpers who are hard-as-heck to hit, but they need a little firepower to back it up (I <3 my Viper/Dragonfly).

O gosh don't remind me about the Pokemon anime I decided for old times sake (I played pokemon before even yellow was released in the US... I'm kind of going through one of those remembering my younger years) to watch an episode... I was *facepalming* more than half the episode heck I didn't even see the end I got so fed up... and went back to watching Soul Eater.

Heck the Battletech cartoon wasn't as half bad as the Pokemon one... and Battletech was bad, no amount of my fandom could make me like the Battletech cartoon.

Heck the Pokemon cartoon was so bad I seriously thought about throwing away my Pokemon Emerald in shame.

That is a part of my strategy 8D

Ever seen the episode where Ash goes against Sabrina and cant even land a hit on the Abra? That is my strategy. To teleport out of foes attacks and use the environment as help 8D

Like if the enemy uses Double-Edge, the Abra will just Teleport away and the other one will smash the trees or something :P

Maybe only like every 3rd particle is teleported? :D

I have an RP idea in my mind... Or... Not... But I would like to post another RP... Running them is really fun!

BTW, I am thinking of restarting my Platinum file that I completed like a week ago, and I have no idea about what my Pokémon would be... I need a Grass Pokémon (That is not Torterra or Roserade) and a Pokémon that has access to Fly (Not Crobat nor Staraptor)... It's quite hard =/

Do you seriously have a level 30 Abra with just teleport?! LMAO training that must have been fun. Honestly I would give him an egg move so it can do something other than teleport... offensive Egg moves include: Ice Punch, Fire Punch, and Thunder Punch. I mean if your not going to evolve the darn thing at least give it something it can do other than teleport like crazy.

It just tastes funny after being teleported :p

I honestly wonder how evil the Crimson Tide is... what extremes they will go to to stop the rebellion. I actually had an idea for a RP if I ever decided to try in run one... but its simular in some cases (rebellion), but different in others.

I'm really wanting the RP thread to be approved since its the only RP I'm in atm. I have another character idea I really want to use but no RPs have popped open that its any good for.
