June 18th, 2011 11:57 PMBanjora MarxvileAh... Well, OK, that's your wish. If you ever get time and want to know how to do it yourself, feel free to ask.

June 18th, 2011 5:51 PMHermione GrangerWith time being limited, since I'm in school, to even work on the project I am probably gonna stick to using the default tile set for the project, plus school and time restraints is mainly why I was hoping for someone to help insert the tiles for me.

June 18th, 2011 9:44 AMBanjora MarxvileDo you need help on learning how to insert tiles?
-
August 27th, 2010 8:40 AMBanjora MarxvileYou are not listening. It isn't a part of making tiles... You need to understand something. Paint allows you to recolour things too, changing their colour. here is a tool in there called Eyedropper (icon looks like a tube thing). Using this then clicking a colour makes your brush tool use that colour.
Your problem is 2 things - lack of understanding, but also lack of caring, as if you really did care to learn, you would question what I said more than once, without giving up. -
August 27th, 2010 8:25 AMHermione GrangerI don't know how to make tiles, hence why I don't understand it. Guess I'll be stuck with using those ugly pokeceneters, marts, and gyms. Thanks for attempting to help, but I doubt I could of understood any steps.

August 27th, 2010 8:12 AMBanjora MarxvileIt's simple. you need to make your new tile use the same colours as the old one.
-
August 27th, 2010 8:07 AMHermione Grangernow that was the part I do not understand
-
August 27th, 2010 8:03 AMBanjora MarxvileOpen the Tileset and your tile in Paint. Then, copy and paste the new tile over the old one.
Then recolour the new tile to fit the pallette of the Tileset. -
August 27th, 2010 8:01 AMHermione Grangerokay got it.
-
August 27th, 2010 7:57 AMBanjora MarxvileRight, go to "Picture" - "Save Tileset 0". This saves the tileset as a bitmap, so you can open it in Paint and edit it.
-
August 27th, 2010 7:57 AMHermione Grangerwell got the pallete changed to get the grass tiles to be green
-
August 27th, 2010 7:53 AMBanjora MarxvileYeah, consider it like different coloured glasses. Change the glasses, changes the colour.
-
August 27th, 2010 7:52 AMHermione Grangerso the pallette is what changes the color right?
-
August 27th, 2010 7:43 AMBanjora MarxvileOK, this is where I explain what everything is. The first big box with tiles (the left one) is what Advance Map uses to make maps, the middle box is the actual tileset. The dropdown menu above it (saying Pallette0 or whatever number) is used to select the pallette the tiles use. Find the grass tile in the middle box, and select the right pallette for it from the dropdown menu.
