March 9th, 2011 4:29 AMSora's NobodyYes, A-map. I'm gonna send you a PM, in a bit, before you dismiss the PM, or ignore it, Understand that i've talken to LU-HO about it, and he's agreed to make edits to A-Map to let this happen, some things are just needed first. Just realized making you read the VM first, is stupid. I wrote the exact same thing in the PM...

March 8th, 2011 4:10 PMFull MetalYes, you're friend is right. VB is considerably simplistic IMO. haha.
And that would be A-Map, if I'm not mistaken. -
March 5th, 2011 12:54 PMSora's NobodyWell switching would be fine. Exepct that i made a friend online who teaches me VB, and i don't want to call it quit with him, he helps me very much. When i've learned VB, i'll obviously move to c++. I asked my the one who helps me on his two cents and he said ".hah!!!
Too advanced? wtf? .vb.net is the easiest programming language there is.
you can type "if me.text="some text" then blah..
how much more simpler can it get.". Also, I was wrong, wasnt in PERL, was in DELPHI, in which case you probably now which one i'm talking about. -
March 5th, 2011 11:52 AMFull MetalI personally program with a mixture of C/C++ (usually C++ with a C style, which is not a good habit to make btw). I was not aware of this PERL program, which one is it? And yes, VB.NET is a considerably High-Level language. If you're not already set in VB.NET then I would suggest changing ASAP. It's kinda like the 'Good' Rom Hackers vs. the no0Bs sort of thing. If you get a lower-level (or in this case, more traditional, like C# as opposed to VB) you know more of what's going on, and you have more control which opens up more possibilities in theory. There's a really huge debate about wether or not .NET languages are programming languages, or scripting languages, and I'm not quite the expert on it myself. I learned C++ so that's what I stuck with for anything serious. From time to time I try using other languages as well though. So, ... yea. haha. :)

March 5th, 2011 12:30 AMSora's NobodyYes, I would love to use a simple language. But i'm 3-4 months into the learning of VB and i don't want to risk spoiling what i know about VB which i know probably won't happen. Do consider VB.net a high level programming language? I know that there is atleast one program that i know of in the toolbox which was programmed in PERL.
But what do you program in? and also, yes i'm only 3-4 months into learning VB and i'm not higly skilled at it, but the project i'm starting know should be a really nice learning project. -
March 4th, 2011 2:14 PMFull MetalWell, yes I do program.
If I were you, I would forget using VB as it presents problems.
If you want to use a [very] high-level language like VB, I would suggest C#, because as I've been told, MONO).NET emu for linux/macs) is well written when compared to WINE(.exe emu for linux/macs), and it is a more traditional language when compared to VB. If you want the same portability without emulation then I would use a combination of C/C++ and a decent library (EG GTK+/GTKMM[C/C++], FLTK, SDL) there are lots of good, free cross-platform libraries out there, so don't worry about that. C/C++ also has a considerable speed-advantage to .NET / VB [especially when you compare to running it on MONO ]. However, .NET languages are still respectable, so go either way. (my personal opinion is that you'd be better off using a scripting language like PERL or PYTHON if you want a 'simple' language ) -
March 3rd, 2011 4:35 PMSora's NobodyThanks! You program right? I'm about to start my own hacking tool (Althought it doesnt intereact with the actual rom) So rather a hacking helper :D I assume you code in C# or C++ or something? I do in VB..

March 3rd, 2011 3:35 PMFull Metaloh, okay. ^_^
I fixed that one then. -
March 2nd, 2011 10:35 PMSora's NobodyHaha, Woops. Meant Flag i mean.. :D

March 2nd, 2011 6:50 PMFull Metalhaha, it's okay.
ANYWAYS, I looked at the thread, and I didn't see a yes/no message in the variables section. Did I miss something, or did you? -
