I don't think that's a good analogy. Things get added to the constitution. It doesn't get changed completely.

Just like the constitution, even if amendments are added fundamentally it stays the same.

But the people who translated the bible into English weren't, and something is always lost in translation.

Because it sais in the original tora that the bible is written by men throw the holy spirit. So the only way things could of been lost or added was if god had a mad memory. xD

I think you've missed my point. You shouldn't claim you know what the bible says about homosexuality until you've learned Greek and Hebrew and read it in its original language and historical context. How do you know you're reading the bible correctly if you're reading from a translation?

I think you are missing the point. It never sais in the bible that a priste marring someone is a sin, but It dose say homosexuality is.

A denomination that says some sins are okay? What is a sin and what isn't depends on the denomination. Some say it's okay for priests to get married and some say it isn't.

Um, I'm not completely sure what you're asking. Every denominations would say they follow the teachings in the bible, even the ones that accept gays. For instance, the bible says 'love thy neighbor' right? When it comes to gay people some say that means 'love the person, hate the sin' and others say it means 'love them for who they are'. Both are doing what the bible says: loving their neighbor.

Episcopalians accept gays and will even perform weddings for them. There's a long article on wikipedia (here) which breaks down which churches are accepting and which aren't.

Oh, good point I never thought of it like that, but all the other denomination are little things that the bible never addresed as a sin(but please show me a denomination that like homosexuality is considered a sin in the bible)

(oh I see, I always loved animes that made you think)(uh this whole deabate cut right into my hacking time, I was right in the middle of making a script :P)

Maybe because they don't believe the Christan god says it's an abomination. And before you say something like "they're wrong! the bible says..." just think about how there are lots of denominations and they don't all agree on everything the bible says.

(L: Change the World was bad, but the other movies were good as I remember them. I'm not really into the story so I'm happy not watching the TV show.)

Why would they worship a god who sais what they are doing is an abomination?!

(also you should watch the tv episodes the movies weren't that good)

Or that they can't change that part of themselves and wanted to have a place to worship without harassment. You must admit that's also a possible explanation.

(Um, okay? I just remember him being an egomaniac, but it's been a while since I saw the movies.)
