February 27th, 2013 12:24 PMEsperAhh. That much I can understand.
My day's okay. I always have extra energy after being sick so I'm feeling all "do all the things!" right now. Yay for motivation. -
February 26th, 2013 2:36 PMKuraMy bad! Basically I made a game character sort of animate-able but the skin looked a bit melty hahaha! How is your night/day going? :33

February 26th, 2013 1:32 PMEsperA lot of that just flew over my head, haha. But it sounds like you have fun with it.

February 26th, 2013 1:26 PMKuraSounds pretty wicked!! I really hope it goes through.
Just back home from work; I stayed a little later because I found some game models online from games like resident evil/ kingdom hearts and although bringing them into Maya is messy (games take the quads out of the meshes so the deformation is weird.) But I decided to try out a botched rigging attempt on it, and characterized it and it worked. Threw some motion capture over Chris from Resident Evil, and although it's a bit wonky (30 second skinning) it actually wasn't as bad as I expected the results to be and was pretty cool! :3 -
February 26th, 2013 1:20 PMEsperOr I have bad timing. I'm just getting back to being active after my cold, and looking into maybe traveling to the UK this year if I can swing the time/money. Some of my friends are also looking into it and it would be great to coordinate this especially since one of them lived in London for a few months and could show me around.
You? -
February 26th, 2013 1:13 PMKuraSeem to be repeating topics a lot huh? Well anyways, what's up?

October 24th, 2012 11:14 AMEsperIf he lives anywhere near a school that teaches Japanese I think he might want to pop down to their school bookstore to see what textbooks they have available. Usually teachers know what's good and what's not.
-
October 24th, 2012 11:06 AMKuraThanks! Just forwarded it to him! :33

October 24th, 2012 10:36 AMKuraWhat were your textbooks called? He's ordering a few off of Amazon. He already has a few of the intermediate books.. but just curious as to what you might've thought was helpful. I thought it looked good because one is a workbook and the other is a textbook..
But yeah anything would be of some great help. -
October 24th, 2012 10:34 AMEsperI feel like you've got better resources than me already. D: All of my resources are/were books and classes.
But I'm trying to remember a site like this one that I saw a friend use once. It had these kind of audio/visual/interactive lessons and she said it was pretty good.
