February 15th, 2011 5:41 PMEliminator Jr.Yeah, not long to go now. Excited, from what I've heard it's tonnes easier than Year 12. The school aspect of Year 12 was the worst year of school I ever had. I guess it depends how much study you do, cos I did a lot (not like HEAPS like some people do, like I procrastinated a lot, but compared to most of my friends) and found school really hard, but my friends who did little (and got bad scores) found it really easy.
Best piece of advice I ever got for Year 12 was don't stress. I don't know if you stress easy, but don't. Even if you get a bad ATAR score (I think it's called something different in Queensland?), there's still tonnes of alternate ways of getting into uni now (if that's what you're aiming for). Just something the Dalai Lama said (I'm not Buddhist but it's a good saying): "If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it's not fixable, then there is no help in worrying."
You serious about the heat? I guess you might just be used to it, like the past few years we've had really bad summers where there are a bunch of 17-19 degrees days (really cold for summer down here) and then a bunch of days with high thirties, instead of a constant 25 or above. Super annoying, you never know what to expect. I don't like winter much, though. I get sick more often in winter though, maybe that's why I don't like it.
Anyway, sorry for the long reply I probably look like a creep now, but yeah good luck for the year dude. -
February 13th, 2011 10:57 PMDestiny BondCool your starting uni soon? Im still in year 12. :P But your lucky, i really hate the heat and i prefer the cold. I always get sick in summer, dunno why?

February 13th, 2011 10:34 PMEliminator Jr.Hey man yeah I'm going pretty well at the moment. Uni starts in a couple of weeks and I've managed to schedule everything so I only have to go three days a week. Yeah, I imagine Queensland would be pretty bad temperature-wise, we've been getting freezing weather down here (for summer anyway) until today when it warmed up a bit. How are you?

February 13th, 2011 1:54 AMDestiny BondHi again, hows it going? The sun is killing me.

February 2nd, 2011 6:25 PMEliminator Jr.Brisbane Lions are actually my tied second favourite team to the Hawks. How do you reckon they'll go this year?
-
January 27th, 2011 2:59 AMDestiny Bondbrisbane lions. I live in brisbane btw. And i might try out for tennis this year, cuz i sometimes play when my brother has to practice during the holidays (he is in one of the school teams)

January 26th, 2011 2:34 AMEliminator Jr.You're probably trolling me, but I meant do you follow the actual AFL? Like professional teams, which one do you like to support when they're playing? Like I go for Hawthorn Hawks for instance but I don't actually play footy myself.

January 26th, 2011 2:10 AMDestiny Bondwell im not good enough for outside afl teams. I just play for the school. And i play the clarinet

January 26th, 2011 12:21 AMEliminator Jr.Beep test is basically two lines 25 metres apart, and you have to run from one line to the other in a series of beeps. The beeps get faster as you go on. Most athletic people my age get at least 10. I'm not sure how it'd work for 100m sprints, because it's more of an endurance thing (until you get to like 16, then it's full out sprinting because the beeps have become so close together). Oh I meant in AFL what team do you barrack for? Like Essendon or Brisbane etc.
Oh what instrument do you play? -
January 24th, 2011 11:04 PMDestiny Bondim not exactly sure how the beep test works. So how much is about 7 for 100m sprints? (seconds) and as for AFL, theres only one team for each year level. So im in the year 12 team for this year.

January 24th, 2011 4:23 PMEliminator Jr.Yeah sorry, this is what I meant to post on YOUR profile XD
Oh you're Aussie too? Yeah that's awesome, which team do you go for in AFL? Yeah don't worry, you're not showing off, you're just stating the facts. I want to start playing AFL for a team this year but I'm nowhere near fit enough (I'm not fat, as in I look pretty fit/slim but I can't run more than 2km at once and can only get around 7 on the beep test :( so yeah I need to exercise more) so I might give it a miss until next year. That or try and join the Monash Uni football team if there is one.
Or I might give tennis a shot, because I like playing it heaps but I've never joined a club or anything because my parents don't want to pay for it (and being a musician as well, most of my own money is spent on music equipment and booking rehearsal studios and stuff). Are you from Victoria (you don't have to answer if you don't want to)? -
January 23rd, 2011 10:37 PMDestiny Bondwhat i mean is, did u want to really post on my profile, but u acidentally posted on your own?
