-
October 25th, 2009 3:11 PMChesuUse the right mouse button to select the lightest pink, then use the square selection tool to put the map on the green square.
-
October 25th, 2009 3:09 PMVigilantewhut? I don't understand what you said.

October 25th, 2009 3:04 PMChesuIf you want to replace colors on something really big and/or complicated, you can make the color you want to replace your secondary color, then drag it onto a big square of the color you want to replace it with.

Yeah, that is so much easier than the fill tool. 'Specially on the pixels that aren't in big chunks.

October 25th, 2009 2:37 PMChesuNo problem! Here's another tip, for recoloring; use the eyedropper tool to select the color you want to replace by left-clicking it, then select the replacement color by right-clicking it. Switch to the eraser tool and use the right mouse button to run over the original color on the sprite or whatever that you're editing. Here, give it a try:

Copy this into Paint, and make all of the squares green with the eraser tool. Though, you could have done that with the flood fill tool. If only I had a better example of where it's useful...

Oh no! Part of Marchare's shading has turned blue! -
October 25th, 2009 2:19 PMVigilanteOoooooooh. Thanks.
-
October 25th, 2009 2:16 PMChesuMove them? Well, the square selection tool. If you're new to paint, look at the bottom of the toolbar when you're on a selection tool. There are two buttons with colored shapes on them; while the bottom one is activated, it will turn your secondary color (white by default) transparent.

October 25th, 2009 2:09 PMVigilanteI have a question about paint, when(if) you move things in paint, what tool do you use?
-
October 8th, 2009 9:19 PMChesuAh, thanks. If you have any questions or want advice, feel free to PM me; I check the forums three or four times a day, so I should be able to get back to you before too long.
