Yeah... level scripting is one of those things I look back on and wonder how I never figured it out before now. Anyhoo, I really like the Cyan screenies and I'll be interested to see how the plot turns out (the page didn't really tell me much about the plot, which in my mind can be a good thing).
I was messing with a mini-hack of sorts, but I'm looking into doing something with the bones of HT. I'm not planning on posting anything until I've seen major progress though, which given my current schedule could take a very long time indeed.

Ah, that's good to hear. Are you tinkering with a whole new project, or retrying HT? And that's good to hear, level scripts used to be quite difficult for me until I learnt how to do them and it's actually not that hard. Using APSE, I've never really had any trouble with inserting Pokemon sprites myself, though. And yeah, I do have a project, Pokemon Cyan, although you've already seen it. What do you think of it?

I haven't quite given up; I'm actually tinkering with one or two things right now. I actually managed to master (or at least successfully use) a couple of things that had me stumped before, like level scripts and Pokemon sprite insertion. How about you, any projects in the works?

Ah, that's a shame. I think I actually have a recent copy with those new tiles inserted laying around from the last time I helped you with mapping. And yeah, but the actual syntax is different. So you've given up on hacking?

All of my Hidden Ties files died with my hard drive on the last computer (the backup thumb drive was lost shortly before that). I think the patch is still floating around and I may tinker with it at some point in the future... the somewhat distant future. It's a bummer on many levels.
Side note (and you probably know this); C++ compiles to ASM (though this is a different version--the version we mess with talks exclusively to Nintendo ARM CPUs). To be honest, learning C++ is probably easier than ASM.

Not now, at this moment. :P You've been learning C++? Wow, I find ASM hard enough, I tried to learn it at some point and failed miserably. D: Do you still have HT? Are you still working on it?

Pretty much the same. I'm hanging out at school over the summer, taking some classes and working for IT. I only recently hopped back onto the forum--I'm learning C++ and got nostalgic for XSE. Are you in school atm?

And I haven't talked to you in almost two years. :P I've been pretty good, although a lot busier lately and barely any time for hacking now. ;; You?

Yup, minus a hard drive and plus... I guess it's been almost a year? How've you been doing?

That doesn't matter, all I said was good luck, if you need me again, just ask me. Although I don't know how it was broken...

I got a PM from you, but it was broken somehow, and it didn't have anything beyond a backlog of our conversation.

That would work; ocean on the left, path at the top right corner.

Okay, one more question (lol) how do you want the connections? should there be be a path from the right to left, down from the mountain...?

Well, I guess not, but keep in mind that I used the Saffron tileset on the city that comes immediately before this one. Also, I'm not sure how that'd work on this sort of terrain. But you're the mapper, whatever you think would look best.
