Also it is a good idea to save your game before you attempt to catch Lugia or Ho-Oh (whatever version you are going to buy) in case the legendary pokemon gets away you can try again later. :)

So did you check out the HeartGold and SoulSilver discussions? I'm excited about this, and that they are finally doing a remake of my favourite Pokemon game Silver and Gold too on a lesser note as it was the only Pokemon game I completed. Came close to the end in Sapphire but I got stuck and the worst thing was the game failed.

If you are going to buy a copy of either game which one would it be and what starter pokemon will you pick? :)

I'd say Totodile FTW on SoulSilver. Not because Totodile has an easier time in the gyms (mainly the first) which Totodile doesn't though unlike its Kanto counterpart but because I like this starter. It is also good that there aren't any rock type gyms which gave Squirtle an easier time once it learned Water Gun.

I have no idea where you would go next. Maybe to your local library and have a search in the kid's section? Although with no idea on the book's title or author, that would be way hard.

Just one of those things you have to let go of :D

What have you been up to lately anyway? Something fun :P

Sorry man. I have no idea :P

Must be an oldish book. How old were you at the time? I would only have been 4 at the oldest.

Sometime in the first two years or so from the start of school, near the end of 1993 to May 1995.

    Hmm

I don't remember anything like that... When did you trace the picture?

By any chance while you were in school did you ever come across a book that had a boat in it which was named Sprite.

I'm asking because I traced the picture of the boat from the book which got put up in my comprehensive school library's office window but unfortunately Ihave no idea what the book was called or who wrote it which is making it impossible to do a yahoo search.

If only I knew what it was lol, but that's the thing isn't it? Some books you remember reading and others you don't have a clue about. :(

I go to monday and wednesday club; to break up the week so I'm actually doing something, but I do sortof study on tuesdays this maths thing I'm doing up until the end of this year.

I sortof remember Words and Pictures, and lots more programmes either seen at school or home. But I don't think I ever got to see Joshua Jones. But it is kind of cool that someone in my fam has the exact same name as the main character from that show, but you probably have to first know the show I think.

I see you were more of a CBBC kid where as I was watching both CBBC and CITV, especially in the mid-1990s which I remember more of and programmes like The Demon Headmaster, but it doesn't have the same impact it did when I was a kid but that is the only show I'd never be able to watch nowadays.

Talk to you later dude. :)

Well, I have tried numerous times with new games on that desktop PC but none work :( The graphics card sucked on it :( We did get it as a package from Tesco about 5 years ago for £450, so I guess that it has lived it's life! TBH I don't have that much time to play games any more anyway :D

When I was little, TV was much better than it is now. The first programmes I remember were Playdays, Numbertime, Words and Pictures, (yes, my mum used to make me watch the educational programmes!), also Wacky Races, Yogi's Space Race, Smurfs, Snorks, Christopher Crocodile, Fireman Sam, Joshua Jones, Thunderbirds, Stingray... The list goes on. Man I miss being a kid. And yes, I do remember Barney the old english sheepdog, and its crude animation :P perhaps that's where Pokémon's animaters got their ideas...

I was more of a CBBC kid until Pokémon was on on CITV so I don't remember a lot of the early 1990s ITV shows. After that I watched it a little, now CITV, for the kids, is much better than CBBC, with Action Stations! in the morning and Toonattik at the weekend. I still watch Spongebob and Ben 10 before I go to work!

I remember the cartoon Dog Breath, but never read the books. I obviously read Harry Potter, up to the 4th book, until I got bored:D But the Magic Faraway Tree was one of my favorites and so was Captain Underpants! I even read some simplified Dickens when I was younger. I can't imagine doing that now though!

I still have the Winter Friends theme, I guess I should change it now.

What have you been up to lately anyway? Today, I have the day off school, as I am going to an open day at the UEA, which is where I want to go to study Environmental Earth Studies in the Autumn. It's about a 200 mile round trip and I'll be driving my trusty red polo lol. What do you do? Are you studying, at work etc.??? :D

Like Barney for example, which was a British animated children's series about a sheepdog called Barney from the late 1980s so you most likely saw it but may not know it since you were born in 1990.

"Do you know where to go when you're feeling all alone? ...to Barney!"

    Barney - Barney's Christmas Surprise
Barney - Barney Gets Into Mischief

They should put some of these shows back on to british television. :)

P.S. Did you ever read a book called Dog Breath: The Horrible Trouble With Hally Tosis or even Woof! maybe?. The book that became the tv series on citv I think it was. :) Each series a different boy turned into a dog. First it was Eric, then Rex.

So what kids shows did you watch or remember watching? Thought I should ask as MSN has a discussion titled kids shows we want back. I can think of a few that should be on instead of what they are showing nowadays which I posted there.

Dangermouse, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Captain Planet, Chip and Dale, Gummi bears were just some of them. :) Bump (The Elephant) but I posted that for someone I know that may like Bump.
