August 7th, 2010 1:37 AMResultzI was thinking Lilycove and/or Slateport

August 6th, 2010 8:06 AMBanjora MarxvileIf I can find the space. Depnds what city, as I can't get it in the main tileset at the moment, due to space restrictions.

August 6th, 2010 2:47 AMResultzhey i've another idea.. What about a Ruin/brick wall kinda tile..
like an aincent ruin site. It would just be a series of wall tiles with a couple for decoration.
They could double up as 'cliffs' in cities.
Tell me what you think, because i'll have ago at making them :D -
August 5th, 2010 5:26 AMResultzOkay thanks
-
August 5th, 2010 5:12 AMBanjora MarxvileFair enough. I'll update your ROM when I release the next update then.
As for side stairs, they never really look right when inserted into GBA games, due to the GBA not having the same 3D effect as the DS. -
August 5th, 2010 5:10 AMResultzAs Excited as i am about the new tiles, would it be better if i sent you the Rom when everything's finished, so i dont keep having to send you it back again? Just a thought, and i wondering if youd ever thought about adding side stairs to the main tileset?
-
August 5th, 2010 5:01 AMBanjora MarxvileJust thought I'd say that even though now isn't the right time to update the ROM Base, I can give you an improved snow area for your hack if you want. I've rewordked the ice lake part after an annoying little thing I did, so I think I'm done with that (apart from pile of snow)

August 4th, 2010 10:02 AMBanjora MarxvileIf I ca implement it successfully, taking into account the small space in the main tileset. I could just have 2 similar sand tiles, except 1 allowing Wild Pokemon (for beaches), the other not allowing it.
-
August 4th, 2010 8:36 AMResultzthere's some, especially in the east where i live, where rather than cliffs and stuff its dunes. and theres like grass stuff growing out at the top of the beach...
doesnt matter tbh just thought itd be fun.
Your idea is better though tbh. and when you talk abiut wild pokemon. i got a beach in my hack atm which has clamperl, shellder and staryu on it. -
August 4th, 2010 1:18 AMBanjora MarxvileNo, but I have been to beaches. No grass on beaches here. Not saying it is the same everywhere else, but it seems... Weird to me. I dunno if it would fit. But, I'll think about it.
My idea is kinda similar to the desert - adding a new sand tile that Wild Pokemon appear on. perfect for crabs, oysters, birds and fish.
Volcano tiles do kinda exist already in Ruby, in Mt. Chimney, but I'm hoping to expand the amount of volcano tiles. -
August 4th, 2010 1:14 AMResultzyou live in britain yeah do you not live near to a beach? with the sand dunes etc?
Anyway, whats your idea?
Also, cant wait to see some volcano Tiles. -
August 4th, 2010 12:24 AMBanjora MarxvileYou got the other place, it being the volcano.
As for Sandy Grass, I think not, as grass doesn't really grow widly on the beach. though, I may have an idea for Pokemon on the sand. -
August 3rd, 2010 1:28 PMResultzalso, a volcano?
-
August 3rd, 2010 1:27 PMResultzand anotehr idea: Sandy Grass. Like Wild grass, but with the sand pallette and appears on the beach.
-
August 3rd, 2010 12:43 PMBanjora MarxvileOh, surely you can see the peak of the pun (there was another hint).
Avalanche mound... Awesome. I like that idea. Could be similar to the ash mounds near Fallabor in Ruby.
