It is, and also, it helps many as well if you release it (which you don't have to), and if you do keep it, if you give up, and accidently lose the ROM, you don't have to insert all the tiles again.

Oh, I see. That's cool, and also a good way of backing your stuff up. I would hate to lose all of the tiles I've inserted so far.

Making a ROM Base is basically... Well, for many Tile Inserting into a ROM, and then releasing it. It is a ROM Base, as it supplies a Base for many to start off with. It helps many. You insert tiles, then make an ips patch.

(May hacks weren't really that special.)

Oh, man I would have liked to see your hack(s)!

I see what you're saying... So is making a base like making a .ips patch?
I need to look into doing this definitely... my relatives get on my computer and mess a lot. I would hate to lose my hack...

Actually, now may be a good time to suggest: If, at any time, your hack dies at all, make a ROM Base. Because then you have accomplished something, and you could then not release it and use it for your own hack (but only make a ROM Base if your hack dies, as that has potential!)

I did have my own under production, but I stopped (due to... Well, I'm not really a good leader) and now I either help people or make ROM bases.

Thanks, I appreciate you saying that! :D
I'm hoping to accomplish a lot with rom hacking, like make a popular rom to share with everybody. I think that's what everybody wants though.

    Do you have any hacks?

Well done. Only a week and a half, and you made a tutorial. You have my respect. Most new hackers like you normally disappoint me, but you have impressed me.

Well, lets see... I started learning about hacking and working on mine on the 22nd of August, and I started working on inserting tiles two days after that. It looks like it took a week and a half.

Wow, it feels like I've been working on this stuff for a month now, hahaha. o_o

May I just ask, how long did it take you to learn Tile Inserting? To know Tile Inserting, and be fairly new at the Community... It is... Great.
