November 1st, 2009 12:02 PMPokémon Ranger ✩ MoriartyHey hun! I contacted Color Me Evil about the Regis, and she confirmed that "Faraway Place" IS the correct placeholder for Platinum-specific Pokémon who are transferred to Diamond and Pearl - thus there is no problem at all with my Regis. =)

October 31st, 2009 5:05 AMPokémon Ranger ✩ MoriartyAccording to several sources I have checked out, "Faraway Place" is also a placeholder used when locations in Platinum were not present in Diamond or Pearl. It's not HG/SS exclusive. :\

October 31st, 2009 4:47 AMGreene1516I have all three of those transfered on my Diamond too. Fact is Farawy Place is the tag for HG/SS, and that is the only time it should show up. Also, you can't trade original form Giratina to Diamond 'cause the Griesous Orb can't leave Platinum. Believe what you want, but whoever gave them to you hacked them.

October 31st, 2009 3:21 AMPokémon Ranger ✩ MoriartyThey're not hacks - they were captured at the Rock Peak Ruins, Iceburg Ruins and Iron Ruins respectively in Pokémon Platinum. Now that they have been transferred to my Diamond game, those three locations have been replaced with 'Faraway Place' as none of those locations exist in Diamond.

Another example would be the Distortion World Giratina. -
October 30th, 2009 4:20 PMGreene1516Just thought you should know, the three shiny Regi's you have are all hacked. Faraway Place means they were caught in HG/SS, but they cannot be caught in HG/SS, so whoever hacked them and gave them to you obviously put on that tag so they could try and fool people into thinking they got them from a game they don't know much about, thus nobody could accuse them of anything.

October 2nd, 2009 2:15 PMPokémon Ranger ✩ MoriartyAw man, yes. Pidgeot was my kick-ass babe when I first played Pokémon Blue. :3
I haven't trained a Swellow yet, though. :O -
October 2nd, 2009 2:12 PMGreene1516Me neither. Swellow > Pidgeot > Noctowl > Staraptor.
