Psst: Unicode sometimes is variable-length, so be careful.

    Hmm...

I'm an OS X convert now.

"®ÈỰềἃὐ╞♯∏ᾷᾷᾷΏ€₤₣ﬦשּⱢﬣ☺.docx" can fit in the same space as "COMMAND.COM" now. I think the route of file titles within the file's code would've been better, since I read that filenames take up less space in the disk's FAT if they're 8.3-named and in all caps. And of course, it would've given the formatting developers more freedom with naming :).

Now we have 255 Unicode code points. So many possibilities!

8.3 names really brought out the naming creativity in me. Now I can put an entire paragraph into a file name, making Word document titles completely useless unless I have WFW 3.0 or something like that.

I used to have a 1993 laptop in perfect condition, and my carelessness cracked the screen, and the built-in roller mouse fell out and was what caused it. I had monitors and mice galore for that computer, and my mother dumped it because "she hated looking at it". I told her, it worked perfectly, all I needed to use it was a $20 1024x768 monitor that we had five of sitting around. Ugh.

Three progs that're good to have open at all times: Taskman, Internet, and Music - you're always going to need them. Oh, and Netgear, 'cause it likes to shut out on me ;)

I'm not exactly sure. It's a government PC so I wouldn't be able to get on (since I don't work there), but it was a Vista-style icon. Definitely not the latest, but I don't think very old, might be IE7, might not. I see him use SharePoint to access work tables for his two theaters.

Are they stuck on IE7 when IE10 is just months away from gold?*-*

Seeing my dad use his Facebook on a government computer at Fort Carson revealed to me a big organization that prefers Internet Explorer. XD

there's a big wildfire that just arrived at urban colo springs, originated from waldo canyon[1][2]
i live at the fountain now, but a few years ago i lived on the westside in some apartments that were seriosly like 5 miles from the place where we filled up our phones with pictures of the flames.
it was really big too. it was 6200 acres yesterday after noon, and it expaned to 15000 after crossing the ridges. it was freakish hearing the propane tanks make loud bursting noises while watchng it lastnight.

question: i'd like to know what the last big weather out break you've had locally like this (doesnt have to be fire).
