No, not really a bond. I was more disappointed if one fainted than if I had just done a regular play through, but the pokemon were replaceable. One of my favorites was Plantain, my tropius, he could take some hits Here is my team before I lost to the fourth Elite Four, Drake D: http://drag0nl0ver.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d41eoic
My school starts on the 18th of August, 11 days after my birthday (I'm 15 now). I got a tablet, which is very fun. This is my first good drawing on it, there's a link to a speed paint video for it in the pic description http://drag0nl0ver.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d46d0s3
Wow, nuzlocke challenges? They seem awesome but I never got around to try one because I don´t like to consider defeated pokemon as dead... On the other hand, it makes the game much more challenging and interesting in a way because you might actually start to form somthing like a bond with long-lasting Pokemon (meaning those that don´t die, of course!) ... And, how was Sapphire? Did you actually have some kind of bond with one of you pokes?
Oh, not that much at the moment! School started, so lots of boring stuff and hardly any free time will be the program of the next weeks! Oh, and I managed to get some friends!
True, true... Earlier, having a Dragonite was still epic because it seemed unique but with all the new dragons around... Especially Gen V has quite a lot of dragons, especially as legendaries... However, I'm pretty happy that there still is some space for legendary psychics! But I guess we have to deal with the fact that Ghosts are rarer than dragons now but I'm not that sure about that... Yep, the graphics are really one of the best aspects in the game! Especially the parts with the bridges, some of them really have a very nice scenery! Dunno why, but Pokemon with these graphics seems so much more fun to play than it has been ever before! Don't mean to say that it ever was boring to play Pokemon before, it's just an even better feeling! That's right but considering the graphics of Gold/Silver, it really was a step forward! And I think that the strongest part of GenIII was that you could do so much stuff and the unique landscape of the region! Where else could you see so many different landscapes united in one part than in Hoenn?
wait, which is white, which is black? I like the black one.
Yes, I definitely like some of the new dragon pokemon, but dragons just seem to common now. gen. I-III there were maybe 5 catchable dragons that weren't legendary, and even a majority of the legendaries weren't dragon, I think rayquaza/Latios/Latias were the first official dragon legendaries. Now with gen IV and V they added about 20 new dragons that can be found and caught and almost every new legendary is a dragon. It kind of made the dragons lose their glory and rarity. I have seen both games get played, and the graphics, considering it's a pokemon game, are rather incredible. with all the different views and angles it brings a new way of looking at the game. It's also kind of fun to see some more 3D-ish buildings and sense of depth. Although gen. III was the best in my opinion, it was lacking due to the complete lack of depth and absolute pixilation.
They're only accessible in the post-story and only a neat addition! Ah, okay! Hmm, I like Reshiram better because it just seems to have some kind of epic aura and it doesn't seem so dinosaur and digimon-like! But I still like Zekrom anyways!
Hmm, many people think that way (and they probably aren't that wrong...) and I used to, too but if you're playing the games, you gradually get used to the new Pokemon! I can't really imagine that you hate all of them! There has to be at least one that you like! More you don't need to play a Pokemon game! I don't get how they got desperate in D/P/Pt! They were very good but i gotta admit that I didn't like some Pokemon right from the start... I only started liking some because I actually trained them! It might be that Pokemon is having some changes that you might not like from the start, but you always have to be open for new stuff! Yeah, genI-III were the best but it shouldn't stop you from enjoying everything after that! Gen V might have some weird Pokemon that not everyone likes from the start but you really should try B/W because of the more mature plot, the graphics and the new changes in the competitive game (and there really were many, many changes in there)! On the other hand, I have to agree with you partly: When I first saw some Gen V Pokemon I was really shocked because they didn't seem to suit to Pokemon anymore... But I can only say what I usually say to people who think that: You probably just need to get used to them! Every Pokemon has something that you can like, even if it's only great stats!
Actually, I have never heard of those two places. I haven't gotten alot of info on the games yet. Zekrom is definately cooler in my opinion. Besides, he actually has arms and doesnt look stupid.
I think that Gen. V was the icing on top of the fail cake. Gen. I-III were good. Those were the classic, fun games (this includes the console games). Then Diamond/Pearl/Platinum came out, and they weren't bad, but it seemed they were starting to get desperate. HG/SS were just good remakes of a good old game, so that was fine. Then Black and White came out. This is like the peak of desperation. They completely ran out of ideas for the new pokemon (have you seen the one that looks like somebody brought a pile of throw up to life?) and although I have heard that they are some of the best pokemon games ever, and I would very much like to get and play one, I still say that they're desperate with it.
White is neat, too because I have it! xD If you´re more the village type of a person and like forests more than cities, then you´re better off with White, too (Black City and White Forest, I bet you´ve heard that a lot of times already) because Black has a more modern flare whereas White is more village-ish! Oh well, Zekrom is awesome, too! Especially because he´s the first electric dragon I know and because of his moves!
By the way, what do you think of the new generation?
Really? That's too bad... Even if that might be the case, I don't wanna risk that I'm registered in some site I actually don't wanna belong to!
That's great (Lol, the most popular B/W joke) ! Many people think Black is better because of the Big City Life but I took a liking to the White Forest, too! But on the other hand, Reshiram looks better than Zekrom... Really!? Awesome you're playing Pokemon again! And Nuzlocke seems pretty fun to me but I don't really like the thought of a Pokemon "dying"... Transferring is soo boring of you're having a lot of good pokes... It took me several hours to get mine over to HG! I dunno why but everytime a new edition comes out, I somehow think that my pokes aren't safe on that edi anymore...
Hmm... Yea, there is hardly anything to actually sign up for. I think it was a smaller sign up form than when you join here...
Actually, I wouldn't mind getting black (I am not racist !!! ). I am currently working on transferring all my good pokemon from pearl to SS so I can restart and participate in a "Nuzlocke Challenge" on pearl.
