November 28th, 2011 12:12 AMEphemeral EuphoriaHeya just wondering if I could watch Graveyard Of The Fireflies and Akira online at all, again it would be sweet if I could have the links to those shows just in case you forgot.

November 24th, 2011 9:55 PMEphemeral EuphoriaSounds sweet, can I have some links to these respective shows by any chance please?
-
November 24th, 2011 5:37 PMKuraYou really should! It's fantastic! I also recommend Grave of the Fireflies if you're into like.. really depressing movies or into movies about history.

November 24th, 2011 5:03 PMEphemeral EuphoriaOkay NP ^^
Oh damn that's saying a lot lol. Now I wanna see this >___<
Same here, been forever since I last heard of it myself though TBH. -
November 24th, 2011 12:18 AMKuraThanks! I will when I have the time!
*_* Akira is like.. possibly the best animated movie of all time. It was done all before digital.. the animation is amazing.. I mean like, hand animated background with hand animated motorcycled with hand animated effects. It's just.. wow. I love marveling at some of the linetests for that movie on youtube.
.O. I think.. I vaguely remember a show called that hahaha :3 -
November 24th, 2011 12:11 AMEphemeral EuphoriaOh yeah same here, okay just look up School Days, Aki Sora, and Elfen Lied when you have the time then lol. (Both anime and manga versions of School Days and Aki Sora have a good portion of sex and drama involved while Elfen Lied is notorious for its very high amounts of gore. Just a friendly FYI lol.) Same thing with Berserk too but that's still ongoing I think.
Don't think I've heard of Akira before though TBH, must have slipped past my radar lol.
For some odd reason that spoiler reminds me of this show I remember back in 2003 called Jenny The Teenage Robot lol. -
November 24th, 2011 12:03 AMKura:3 yeah.. and I love Akira Toriyama (the artist)~ And oh, no worries I'm not squeamish in animes at all (I loove the crazy stuff in Akira)!
Oh and if you dont mind spoilers:
Spoiler:
Story is basically about a girl that accidentally orders a robot boyfriend.. and can't choose between him and someone close to her cause she loves both of them.
In the manga.. she is this whiny teenager.. and like.. at the end she ditches her next-door-neighbor.. the one who was always protecting her.. to go with the robot and fly into the night.. >_> so freaking.. corny.
In the liveaction she's older, and her boss is in love with her but he can't tell her because of the company.. and he like.. is the only one who supports her in what she wants to do even though that means he'll have to be apart from her. And like the robot starts to get an AI, but as she starts to fall in love with the robot, people try to recall him because he is "defective" and he basically sacrifices himself to save her and make her happy and tell her to remember to follow her dreams. She goes off to Paris to become a pastry chef and the boss-guy who loves her says he'll be there for her for when she returns.
Plus the actors are awesome <3 -
November 23rd, 2011 11:55 PMEphemeral EuphoriaNP, I aim to please lol.
Yeah same here, that was a one of a kind series back then IMO. The Abridged version by Team Four Star's also really good too lol.
They're not for the faint of heart if you ask me but they're not that bad once you get past the squeamish stuff lol. I've heard that fairly often nowadays, might as well add that to the reading list then haha.
How do you think the liveaction one's better then? -
November 23rd, 2011 11:46 PMKuraThanks!
*_* Yeah.. I think the only filler I find enjoyable is DBZ just because it is ridiculous.. <3 I love DBZ~
I've heard of those other ones but never read.. .O. OH I've read all Negima and I loved it! It was a really fun read!
Yeah the manga and the liveaction TV show for Absolute Boyfriend are dramatically different. Like.. completely opposite endings ._. and Liveaction is millions better <3 -
November 23rd, 2011 11:43 PMEphemeral EuphoriaHere it is enjoy. http://forgotten.faithweb.com/MaxLandis/legit01.htm
Yeah the Naruto anime makes me gag with all the filler sometimes so I prefer the manga by far. Also for the School Days series as the manga was far less traumatizing than the anime although both are pretty hardcore, same thing with Aki Sora and Elfen Lied but in the reverse manner with the manga being more shocking than its anime counterpart and great I'm speaking otaku now hahaha.
I might have heard of it before, might have seen it on a recommendations list after reading the KissXSis manga on an online scan site back then. Fruits Basket and Negima I definitely know though lol. -
November 23rd, 2011 11:36 PMKuraOh yeah? :3 What is the Shocker about? o_o Is it here on Pokecommunity? :3
*_* It reminded me of that too, actually! I am kind of a sucker for "shoujo" stuff too.. so my favourite Manga is probably fruits basket.. but the anime is terrible!
Though one thing that the book is actually worse than the show is Absolute Boyfriend. Have you heard of it? (AKA Zettai Kareshi) -
November 23rd, 2011 11:31 PMEphemeral EuphoriaThat sounds pretty interesting TBH, been meaning to play one of the Phoenix Wright games myself sometime as well. I've been reading this fanfic known as The Shocker - Legit recently and I must say it's really well done. Unlike My Immortal which I also read recently, ugh lol but then again the author of that little gem is so obviously a troll haha.
Bleach reminded me a lot of Ghost Busters for the first few chapters TBH lol, pretty good stuff but I lost focus as I was also reading Berserk at the time too haha.
