I see...it starts to make sense why there are no pokemon above level 100 in 3rd gen hacks.
There is likely some ASM routine which tells the game that bytes 0x1, 0x65 and 0xC9 refer to level 1.
That way, it might be able to add higher-leveled pokemon (not saying like he should try to do it) :D

I meant to reply to your really long PM, but accidentally delete my reply >_<
Although it does seem we share the exact same views about Flora Sky :O
Btw, for level 255, I'm guessing I would just change the level to FF in hex, right?
Edit: Just tried it, it was level 55. I don't think it works in FireRed xD

Nobody cares how much harder 1st and 2nd gen hacking is, people will hack what they want and it's not up to you.

But really, there is not much of a difference. Both with rom hacking and studying you really need to try to learn to get it all and I study myself in university and my subjects are math and chemistry and I wouldn't call rom hacking any easier than those ;)

"Mapping takes hours without advance map, I've tried and gave up after, like, 3 rows lol."
I kinda have to agree with you on that one :D
