I'm trying to avoid Pokemon-based RP's right now, as I'm in a couple already. Sorry X3
The only reasons why I decided to join this new one was because 1) it's a little smaller than the other one's I'm in, 2) "Can't break me, won't shake me," ITA, The Black Hole, and HF seem to be going a little slow, and 3) I'm bored and in drastic need of something to do XD
"The familar showcase is an event where mages show off there new familiars to a crowd of peers and nobles. The mage and familiar must come up with with and perform an act that *ahem* showcases their bond and trust of each other." - Information from AuraRift
That sounds about what I thought would be the case. Interesting plot developement, to say the least :p
I'll probably have Kiroku try and show some respect by looking away, but Miku can note how Miharu has scars. As for the fight, I'm thinking that Kiroku (and/or Miku, assuming the mage is supposed to be involved in the fight. You'd think Aura would let us know what the showcase actually was instead of letting us guess... oh well) does both. I want to generate a rather humorous instance where, with his abilities activating, he strong-arms the opponent because they won't let him leave after he declared a forfeit (ex. "Gotta go, I quit." "Nope." "-superkickwithover-the-topreaction- Now I quit -runsoff-"), then runs off to help Miharu.
Miharu was watching from the sidelines when her arm suddenly got grabbed. When she was about to attack the person (which is her father), her father threatens her with Kiroku's and Miku's lives and calls her by Miharu's real name. Miharu freezes, half because of she doesn't want to endanger the both of them, and half because it's her father and he just realized who she was. Taken into a hidden hallway, in which her mother is there, her father and her mother threaten her, ask her why she left. Miharu doesn't answer and this enrages her father and mother. They both take their rage out on Miharu by beating her and cursing her out, while Miharu doesn't react.
While Miharu is being beaten, this would be the time in which Kiroku would realize that Miharu is in trouble. Either he finishes the fight fast or he forfiets (your call) and grabs Miku to get help to find Miharu. However, they can't find her right away due to her being in a hidden hallway and they don't notice it.
At this point, the situation on Miharu's side has escalated. Miharu's father has threatened to, er, rape her in order to keep her in line. He starts stripping her, Miharu doesn't even try to stop it, while her mother just watches.
THIS is when Kiroku and Miku will suddenly find the hidden hallway and come in when Miharu's father is on top of her, but hasn't undressed himself, but has almost completely undressed Miharu. Cue Kiroku's and Miku's reactions. Miharu breaks down, probably crying, or just shuts down completely, becoming unresponsive. Kiroku's and Miku's reactions to this. They try to cover this as best as they can. Miharu tells the whole story (if she breaks down) at that time, or later when she becomes responsive again. During this, Kiroku (maybe) and Miku will see all of Miharu's scars and such she got from her early life with her parents. They don't return to the familiar showcase, instead going to Miharu's room. Miharu sleeps while Kiroku and Miku discusses what they saw and how it made them feel.
