    She said it mostly in a bad way, but she also said that if you do use it - just be careful. xD

    Yeah :D

    Did she mention it in good light? Like, did she/he say that it was good or bad? XD;

    It'd be good for you as a back-up for your course. :3

    Yeah xD It's funny how my teacher mentioned Google Translate today, just thought I'd throw that in xP

    Really? I haven't really checked it out haha I'll look at it when summer vacation starts.

    The other thing about translators is that they usually translate each sentence alone so then the whole thing just looks weird. -.-

    Yeah, it's mainly just to get people to a basic level. It has kanji lessons as well. :O

    Yeah, sometimes I type stuff in and see what'll come out - just for my amusement xD

    That's true, considering that kanji is also used/seen more often that just straight hiragana. d: Yeah, it's probably just a stepping stone so that you can start to look for more Japanese lessons.

    Just saying, the translator usually fails. XD; The best thing to do is learn the said language as well as you can and it'll be right. :3

    Well it's hard to teach a language like Japanese in such a small game, so, considering there were only 100 lessons, I did pretty well. XD; I think I could've gotten to speaking level if I continued and then I could've done some kind of after-school class to continue my Japanese learning further. :3

    Yeah, so I always check it to make sure >.<

    Really? I found that my classes were easier to understand than how the game did it xD I still didn't finish it, so I'll probably do it over the summer for review and other things.

    Usually when that happens what you're trying to say is completely changed. -.- One time, I got fed up with an Arabic essay (since I didn't know Arabic [but I had to do it since they had no other language available -.-]) so I google-translated the whole thing. The teacher said it made no sense. XDD

    I found it pretty good, actually. The problem was that it was crammed into just 100 lessons, which I found very little to do. The developers should have extended it over 300 lessons or so to make it more effective.

    Haha yeah, but then I feel great when I write something first and it comes out the way it should when its translated x3

    Oh, I have that game too - got it before I started taking Japanese). I don't use it as much, but it helps me study and see how much I've learned.

    I know right? :D

    I do that with everything. Sometimes I feel guilty because I'm really not learning anything by Google-translating stuff. XD;

    I didn't learn that much. I learned with My Japanese Coach on DS and only got through about a third of the course. And then I forgot half of what I learned. XD;

    That's awesome. :O You'd get to go all over if you get into the right positions. Like, if you worked as some kind of translator for international delegates, you could go places. :3 I envy you even more. XD;

    Haha, I always double/triple/nonstop check the translation just to make sure its the says the same thing in both languages, sometimes its so different from what it actually means xD

    That sucks D: It looks like you learned a lot though - you should keep learning Japanese when you have the time :D

    Yeah, I'm thinking of becoming a linguist or translator later on [:

    I understood it (with the help of Google Translate XDDD).

    Well I'd finished my Indonesian exams and it was the end of the school year, so I thought I'd try studying some Japanese until we started the Indonesian course again for real. But then we started Indonesian again and I couldn't continue Japanese. ;;

    You should continue Japanese. It's an amazing language. I envy you. :3

    Oh haha xD I just said:

    A little. I study Japanese at school How about you? :D

    That's pretty cool xD Were you taking both at the same time? >.< I've studied Japanese for a year already haha I'm probably gonna keep learning after HS though.

    crap I can't speak it that well XDD

    I studied Japanese for a few months then I had to stop because I had to focus on Indonesian, which I'm studying at school. I can understand simple sentences, but nothing too complicated. XD; How long have you studied Japanese? :O
