Silver lining is, once you've finished and moved on to college, or wherever you plan to go, you won't give Mr.Doucheton a second thought. Not long after that you'll forget about him completely.
Yeah to bad she retired about two years ago. Poor kids...

Wow, the dude sounds pretty douchey.
I'd say if art is something you like to do or are passionate about then just do it, and ignore his view point on the matter. If you're feeling singled out on an unprofessional level by him, I'd suggest talking to the counselor if your school has one .
I was lucky in that my art teacher didn't have the word "bad" in her vocabulary. She was also a math teacher, which is weird, so she didn't really prioritize art or other subjects and never held us to any kind of standard.

Basically, if he asks me to do a piece of work, I do it, plus other things that I think I need to do. I then do the piece of art he wants me to do a few times, improving on my skills or completing it with other techniques or paint/materials.
I show him, and he says the paintings aren't to 'the best quality that I could achieve' (even though I work so hard on them - I give up an entire week working on one piece, and in that time I could be studying for other subjects), and what annoys me about him is that he thinks art is a priority over mathematics, English and science.
I took art as an option because the teacher that I had at the time could teach art very well, never had favourite pupils in the class and actually would help you and tell you what you did right, and what could have been better - this one is the opposite! He picks favourite pupils and singles me out as the one to pick on and it drives me mad, lol. I don't mean to brag or anything like that, but I don't think my work is as bad as he says. He is the only art teacher now as the other had to retire, so he teaches us now. I wouldn't mind if it was constructive criticism but all he says is my work is a waste of time. D:

Wow sorry for the rant, lol.

Huh, My art teacher didn't believe mistakes existed in art, well except for Art history tests. She always ended up omitting those from our final grades each year though.

So is he yelling about a questions and answers type thing or about making mistakes as you draw/paint ?

    Well happy Birthday :D
    Which subjects?
I had an English teacher in high school who would give zeroes if you misspelled more than 3 words on a term/subject paper. It had to be written too, so the only spellchecker was you :).

Yeah tell me about it :(. I'll give it a shot sometime soon, I imagine I can find it the same place I watch Dr.Who.

Not really, unless you count cutting and dragging away the massive amount of trees that fell during the ice storm a few days ago :). How about you?

Well I used to watch Torchwood and was told I'd really like Sherlock, but I ended up moving way out to the middle of nowhere and changing jobs, so no more BBC for me. I now have to watch Dr.Who and the like online.

Yeah, I'm a fan of parodies too! Do you watch any other shows from the BBC such as Sherlock?

They also have a few songs in Gaelic, that are fun to listen to around people who don't know that you don't know how to speak Gaelic. Unless of course you can speak Gaelic in which case that's cool.

I'm also a fan of random youtube parodies, the nerdier the better :D.
