Yeah, apparently my computer melted from the inside, which was really weird. Like I know I had an eight year old computer that was going to die soon, but I didn't think it would melt. lmao

Eh, I wouldn't feel bad about saying you'd get a new beta out when you might not by the end of the year. I think people would like to play a hack (beta or complete) where the creator took more time and dedication to their hack more, rather than play a hack where you know the creator ended up releasing a beta or finishing their hack because they felt obligated to it.

It's been a while since I watched The Sopranos so I'm a bit hazy about it, but I remember it being good. The ending of the series I think was really good when you think about it, but I'm not going to spoil it.

I'm the same way with IRC. It only takes me a second to get to every channel I'm on because of the way I have hexchat working, but even then if I don't talk that much it's because I'm away either playing games I've wanted to for a while (I just bought 999 and although I've just started it might be one of my favorite handheld games), watching/catching up on some toku shows (like Kamen Rider or Super Sentai), or just busy with life in general. lol

Yeah, Cobalt was only around five gyms I think so Gaia has just passed it in terms of length.

Ugh that sucks re: your computer, definitely a major motivation killer. I'm not completely done with hacking myself but I definitely want a length break from it, kinda regretting saying that I'd get a new beta out by the end of 2016 because at this rate I likely won't haha.

I've mostly been spending my time on my computer binge watching something: I got through the entire CWverse (Arrow, The Flash, etc.) and am now getting through The Sopranos. With that going on though I hardly log on to any chatrooms really, and with IRC it's another program and so on so I rarely get around to it. I did drop in a few days ago but don't really have much to say because I'm not really doing anything haha.

Oh that sucks, at least Gaia, although it is HOTY winner which is amazing, it is also the longest hack you've developed right? I don't remember if Cobalt was as long as Gaia's current release is but you know better. lol

I think it's been six months since I've stopped hacking. It just, stopped being fun for me. It also didn't help my computer died a month ago, so even if I did want to pick hacking back up, I'd have to start from scratch and get all the tools I had on my laptop. The only reason I'm still in the hacking community, if you can call it that to begin with, is to continue talking to certain people there.

Speaking of which, I haven't seen you around the irc channels. Have you just been busy or are you tired of the channels?

    Thanks, I do too haha!

So have you been doing any hacking? I personally can't find an ounce of motivation to even open Gaia these days. You?

Thank you! Good luck with what you're doing as well, I hope you get your first choice!

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from.

That's quite the deviation haha! Good luck with it!

You're lucky, I'd rather want to apply that way instead of making it a three/four month pain to trek through. Like, I'm not complaining about the money, as I got scholarships and a decent plan to get by, my problem is more focused on the length of preparations, if that makes sense.

I got into my first choice, Johnson and Wales University, and I'm going to be studying Baking and Pastry Arts, which naturally has to obviously not do with romhacking. lmao

That sounds awful, we just apply for student loans for the course itself and for maintenance which is calculated by the government based on your household income (I'm at the lowest rung lmao so I get the most for that).

My first choice is the University of Bristol to study Computer Science, and my insurance (for if I don't get the AAA grades I need) is the same course at the University of Exeter.

    What about you?

That's still good, at least they weren't totally bad for you. Through a series of administration screw ups, my science final exam only included stuff we've never learned. Luckily the department head of that branch gave everyone who has taken this exact science course 90s on the final, so I can't complain. lol

Thanks! Also that's interesting, applying to university I mean. Like, over here, at least where I'm going to, you have to confirm things, pay them an entry fee, pay them even more money for the first year if you are living on campus, and then pay for meal plans, health insurance, books and other resources. In the middle of all of that you have to contact financial people, work out financial plans. It's just a huge chore, imo.

Have you decided where you're going and what you'll be pursuing, or are you just going to go with the flow of things?

They were alright, only two that stood out as being good but none of them were too crushing either lmao.
Congrats on graduating! Applying to university here hasn't been so bad so far, just mailing off a few things like identity proof to get student finance and then choosing accommodation. Although I haven't started packing or whatever, not until I actually get my results lmao. Good luck with that, though!

Oh yeah, Ness told me you had exams a while ago I think, how were they?
Eh, I just graduated high school and focusing more on getting a job and working so I can have more money to use at college, and then I'm just getting ready for college in general, which I don't know how different it is in the UK, but in the US getting ready for college is the most obnoxious thing I've had to go through. lmao

Hey dude, I'm fine! Had a bunch of exams which are now finished so I'm slowly readjusting to NEETdom. Haven't had much hacking motivation, though, lmao.

    How have you been?
