@ First message: Dorm life is p chill though. Honestly, I love it so much that I never want to go home. And believe me, I thought before I left I would be the most homesick person in the world. I don't know what happened but the people I met here were the coolest people I think I'll ever meet in my life. I definitely hope to be friends with the majority of them for the rest of my life though. Leaving my parents and my house and my nice little town wasn't something I was entirely ready to do, but dorm life made it extremely easy because we were all just here trying to make friends and it turned out we were all really similar.
@Second message: It has not gotten easier unfortunately. My life is a mess. lol
I feel like when I have to leave home, I'll really miss living here, as all of my life is here. At the same time I just can't wait to get away from my family. Where I live though, you can pretty much access every major place within one and a half hours, so I don't even know if I'll need to even stay in one at all.
It's the best thing in the world. I mean, at the same time, I got lucky. And there are definitely downsides. But honestly all the downsides were worth everything I got out of it (such as friends).
I met some really cool people and there's never nothing going on. That's a double edged knife though. Because it's so active I get distracted in terms of homework and will sometimes just not do it just to hang out with my friends longer. Also the bathroom situation isn't very fun, but it varies from dorm to dorm and you can generally get over it really fast.
