Whoa, he looks legit. Like a real OG.

    Why'd you get into hacking?

Hmm, now I'm confused. Especially since I barely find room in my tileset for the little things such as grass. Man, I think I'll look at how some other hacks did it first, so I know the best way XP

Gangstas name is shady, Someone here is Lazy xP

Idk, im not sure i might be around and help others etc, dont know yet.

Nah you don't create pretty much a new mountain, you just add those parts thats going to be overlapped from grass. And yeah you can do it how you said too, but than you won't be possible to make trees overlap the mountain with grass because there are not 3 sections for tiles XP

Watch out everybody, we got a gangsta over here.

Will you still float around the Emulation Sub-Section, or are you out completely?

So I pretty much create a new mountain? I thought it'd be something like creating the grass and then layering it over the mountain. Hmm, that takes up alotta space though...

    Imma playa ;P

I doubt i weill ever use RPG XP, i think after my hack/if its going to be completed sometimes, Im out probably than.

For that just take both mountains, add em to 1 image, index or try to make the pallete lower on your own(Example: remove some brown pallettes that arent that necessary anyways to make it use less brown palletes, or grass etc). and get Charakter maker 1999 if you don't have it.

Than take the png to charakter maker after opening and you see a tab how much palettes it has[the first colour should always be bright one thats going to eb the first on that tab for the transparency].
Adn if it only onw row than save the pallete as an act file and load it in a-map on the pallete you want to edit, and export the tileset, insert the tiles and import again, and vuola there in ;P

-_- You are quite good at this game. Too good.

Do you ever plan on using RPG XP once you leave hacking?

Yeah! How do you use them? I've been trying, but the results haven't been good... :/

Where did they go now, where , where, where, where?!

Yeah RPGxp has almost everyhitng scratched(as long you don;t use one made from someone and released for public), and RPG makers without paying to use them are pretty useless somehow D:

    and you mean those right?

Who let the dogs out? Me.

My own battle system? While that would be very creative (I'd use those OW's from Hg/Ss and have the moves actually shown in a background that has its own tileset), I see how it'd be VERY hard. Man, that's why the RPG XP games look soo cool!

Hmm, could you show me a picture? I just can't seem to find it. :/

    I know, i know.

If you start a game from scratch you have to create your own batlesystem etc etc etc if you want it to be original. And that wants a lot of scripting!

And the grass that grows from the mountain....for me its in the same tileset as the mountain without it, i mean theyre on the same pallete.

O.O I'll have to bust out the hounds on this one...

I dunno, is it that much harder than hacking? To me, it seems to be pretty much the same difficulty. I remember backing away from my computer, falling down on my bed, and holding my head trying to find a way around the limitation. Sometimes it worked, other times and I gave up.

Well, I guess the grass that seems to grow outta the mountain. I have no idea on how to do it.

    Im invisible<3

Im pretty sure that you would move to hacking after like 2 weeks again ;P

same with the limit, i sometimes stare my computer for 5 minutes until i get it how i will want and need it xP

Im not sure which grass tiles you mean that overlaps the mountain.
You mean the wild pokemon grass, or the grass that serves as the ground you walk?, Or that grass that seems to grow outta the mouintain.

Don't worry, I have more things than guns...

I actually thought of moving my hack into RPG XP Maker, but I decided that since I learned all of this hacking stuff, I might as well use it. Ya know?

I do like the limit. I creates a sense to the game that challenges me into using my brain. It's like homework on steroids

I think it was making the grass tiles that could overlap on the mountain tile so I could make grassy mountains, but it was just too hard. How'd you do yours?

    Im bulletproof =]

Tbh i know how hard it can be someitmes with all those limits, thats why almost everyone switches to RPG xp maker...and fail again so or so, the few RPG xp games are from people that are working with it like 3+ years, and i really doubt that anyone takes that time.

Also the fun thing in hacking is the limit, its kind of a challenge for me to make tiles look beautifull even in a 15 colour pallete =]

    Also what difficulties?

... Then you must be eliminated at once... :P

Man, it just sucks how limited it can get. For some reason, it seems like Ruby has more space for tilesets than Fire Red.

I like those tilesets, it looks very natural. I wanted to do that mountain tileset, but then I ran into difficulties. :/

    Cool beans, man :P

    Believe me i know.

Yeah, tiling isnt that hard if you actually know how to do it xP
I would create new tiles too, but i suck at ideas xP
Also if you want here ---> http://legendofanbuja.weebly.com/ , is the webpage i created for my hack, because it has no scripts i wont post it anywhere on showcases, its not that far yet.
I was actually able to do 2 maps in 2 days and keep track in this page of what i am doing.

Ya can even check for updates xP
