I think now's the time to get rid of the eighth notes in your username if you were planning on doing that… lol

Oh my, I think I heard some animal get killed next door O_O.

I heard a gunshot and a loud moan across the street. I have my window open with a screen and a fan that's off.

Knowing the nature of the "good ol' boys" that live around here, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a pet of theirs.

"Good ol' boys" is my family's funny code word for "inbred racist redneck dumbass".

I think I'm not much of a fan of emulators

I'm in the middle of encoding a 10-hour-long loop of the Dark Cave music from the original G/S. The reason I don't just use the loop button in VLC is because I want an intro to play once at the beginning of the track.

I would've played it straight out of an emulator but VBA mutes the game when its not the active window (even if you uncheck 'pause when inactive window') and I don't have another GBC emulator ATM ^^;.

The extra row of blank colours in 7 is very useful for when you want to do pixel art. Oh, and the pencil and eraser still worked like the old days. :p

Which are all superb if you've never heard of GIMP, or even Paint.NET. I find Paint to be the program that's supposed to not do most of those things - to be able to work as a pixel editor rather than a photo editor.

    Windows 7:
Saves to PNGs as default, which is superior to BMP
    Antialiased tools
    Real brushes
    Obvious boundaries for the canvas
    More reliable scaling
Being able to redraw a shape with only minor tweaks without undoing the entire thing
    Semitransparency in patterns

I went through enormous trouble to get the Snipping Tool on Windows XP, but not only is it practically unvailable anywhere on the web, but if you do happen to get it and run it on XP Microsoft's already programmed it to not function on that opeating system. Found this all out on a big multi-user rant in a thread on MSDN of some educational worker trying to get it on other computers for work or some jazz.

The old MS Paint is better because its simpler, it doesn't have the new sucky default color palette, and it's never heard of JPEGs (and should've stayed that way). All big green flags for my purposes for it in ROM hacking, but still viable qualities outside that realm.

My Windows 7 taskbar hover gradients seem to favor the color orange, even aside from the Firefox and VLC that I have open nearly 24/7. It has an orange gradient with the XP MS Paint Icon which I have open (Yes, I got the old Paint 'cause the Ribbon interface sucks in the new one X3)
