August 13th, 2011 9:04 PMSnakebyteXD hey, chill. Spherical Ice is a friend of mine, he helped me out on a few of the more wonky scripts. His criticisms were directed at Wesley not at me. He caught ONE thing that fell under my purview and mentioned it to me privately, and I fixed it, though I don't really care enough to release a new patch that fixes a single letter. :)

August 10th, 2011 4:21 PMSmallbirdieNet Ball! Thanks! And a thought about the Snow trainers, what about Winter Riders? Blasted English not having blanket terms available!
-
August 10th, 2011 4:15 PMSnakebyteNet Ball, apparently. *checks PM*
-
August 10th, 2011 4:00 PMSmallbirdieOh, and by the way, what is that item in the Groment Mines supposed to be, anyway?
-
August 1st, 2011 4:45 PMSmallbirdieOk cool, ignore that terrible, mashed up picture then ^_^
-
July 30th, 2011 4:30 AMSnakebyteSure, but when you're reporting trainers, can you reference their position on the map instead of their name/trainer type? That makes it a lot easier to find them on my end. Also, I'm aware of the one Team Steam guy who won't fight you in the Botanical Lab in Esmerald, and I can't fix him. I know what needs doing, it's just not a thing I really should do if I don't want problems in other areas. I haven't encountered any others, though.

July 29th, 2011 9:50 PMSmallbirdieI see the note about trainers that don't battle, I thought they were just other useless NPCs that just happened to say the same thing as defeated trainers. Would you like me to catalog when I see this?
-
July 29th, 2011 4:32 PMSnakebyteThat's a staircase. It totally was there before. Mine's a level 40 Electivire now. xD
And nah, I'm working with someone now, he already expressed a desire to add one, we're just worrying about translation first.
And that's what I tried the second time. It's some kind of error with showing the sprites in the contest. I just don't know enough about scripting to fix that myself, sorry. -
July 29th, 2011 4:29 PMSmallbirdieAbove the lab...? THAT'S A STAIRCASE?!? O_O! I thought it was boxes! That totally wasn't there before >_> And about a healing script, if I remember right Ash and SP had that in their version, maybe ask Ash?
One finale note about the glitch, I don't know if you tried it like this but you don't even have to do the Oak events, I went straight from the contest hall (I actually won with Squirtle this time!) right to the Elekid without doing anything. I didn't visit the lake or even stop at a PC this time. -
July 29th, 2011 4:07 PMSnakebyteYeah, it's in the closest thing I have to Wesley's, which is Wesley's with the header edited so I can edit it and the Unova english names. Confirmed it right before reading your PM.
I'll see about asking someone I know to fix it, but if it's in Wesley's version, that means it isn't my fault and I don't have to restart. So forgive me if I cheer. :D
In the meantime, just start a fresh game and avoid the contest hall.
(Also, I was testing on the Elekid above Prof. Jasmine's lab to save time instead of the starter script. It's there too.) -
July 29th, 2011 4:03 PMSmallbirdieAw dangnabit. It's in Wesley's. I picked Charmander for this run too.

July 29th, 2011 3:57 PMSnakebyteRight, the gameshark isn't the issue. Testing on my cleanishest of roms now. I agree that there should be a healing script in Yellow Town, but I don't have a freaking clue how to make one :<
I'll ask some of the more script-savvy people I'm now in contact with about it before I post a release. I'm certainly not opposed to it.
I chose Charmander and trained on Caterpies in that first patch of grass until I hit level 7. Ember oneshots the Venipedes. -
July 29th, 2011 3:54 PMSmallbirdieOh, I have a small favor to ask if you'll add to LP- a healing script in Yellow Town. That's why I used the code, those friggin' Venipedes always poison me and without being able to heal I can't make it to Central City. I hate those things very much. I'm also going to try on Wesley's beta 1.1 now to attempt to recreate the issue.
-
July 29th, 2011 3:46 PMSnakebyteAlright, thanks for that information. It really helps when people know how to isolate the variables like that. I'll test it on my current version without sharking, and on a more-or-less-unedited version to see if it's something I did or not, and get back to you with the results. That's just great though. that is the hungriest of electrikes.
-
July 29th, 2011 3:44 PMSmallbirdieOh yeah, the Scraggly thing is DEFINITELY contest relate. Just started a new game, followed the same steps as before, and this time it's an Electrike instead.

Here's exactly what I did, you should be able to recreate it with no problem.
I chose Bulbasaur, I talked to Jasmine in Yellow Town, I left Yellow Town and enter the Max Attack GameShark code (830043BA 03E7), won my way to Central City, healed at the PC, entered the contest hall and got my pass, entered the Normal Rank Cool contest, lost (again), headed to Marfeny Lake, beat Feebas, headed to Jasmines Lab, headed to Radio Tower 2nd floor. As soon as Oak offered me Chikorita the Electrike (he was the 1st pokemon shown in the contest) was there!
