eventually they will figure out that they suck at mapping, so they might either read the tut, or just ask someone to do the mapping for them.

True, but those that map like that sometimes are... Well, stubborn and think they don't need tutorials.

yea but my tut will be based on natural mapping and all the different combinations you can use to map natural, and i will make a list of all what not, and what to do, when mapping because if you have noticed on the map rating thread, some maps seem to need a lot of improvement, and well the best way to learn is either post in the map rating thread, or learn from a tutorial so yea..

Ah, OK. Good luck with that. Could be simpler, yet may be harder, due to different styles and whatnot.

well if i can't teach tile insertion well, i might take a shot at a mapping tutorial.

True, but for people to learn, it needs to be understandable to the vast majority. That's the key part.

well yea, i don't think i could explain it in a "tutorial" way, i mean like if i made one, it would feel like as if i was actually talking to them, and maybe teach pallete editing and tile insertion and also cover mapping.

    M.L, perhaps.
Err... Well, you could, if you feel like you can explain it thoroughly and help people learn better. Personally, I tried helping those who couldn't one to one, until they understood it, then used that knowledge into a tutorial to help everyone from what the "sample" had experienced.

yea inserting for what? a hack? or your rom base?
anyways don't worry i'll change it, and i might think about making a tile insertion tutorial, do you think it would be a good idea?

Not yet, but probably soon. And as for the tree, insert what you want, the only thing that tree needed was:

    A better trunk
Some shading of the grass underneath.

i would have kept the old one, but a friend said it looked like rockets lol, so i thought of changing it, and yea, i think the post he made is a few posts down on my wall, so..yea, i'll be waiting for that..

anyways, nothing new? got any tile inserting you have to do right now?

I know, I noticed when I inserted it. But, hey ho, next time one of us get the ips, we could replace it for a more fitting one, I guess. It is easy to replace, so that's something.

    Really? Wow, that's great.

hey i noticed the tree you put in for rumble rock..it looks....different, like it does not fit in well with the tiles, and that's why i hate having more than 1 tile inserter for a hack, but oh well it's none of my business, anyways what's going on? i talked to colcolstyles about the map of the month, he might bring it back.

I know a couple of people who would join, and other people which idk could join as well, but we can give it a try 1 time and if it doesn't turn out as planned then we can forget about the whole thing
