February 7th, 2011 1:54 PMFolkedahlI've played through it a few times when I was younger, but it's been a while. I went with outrage spur of the moment cause I figured I wouldn't get another chance at it. Hah.

February 6th, 2011 5:23 PMjdthebudOutrage, as are all Dragon moves in Gen II, is a special attack. Well, it's really your choice, although it should work, as Ice Punch is gonna be used for Lance.
how many times have you played Silver? Elite Four has to be beaten once before Kanto is accessible. -
February 6th, 2011 3:32 PMFolkedahlI understand that it's got beastly power, but I was wondering if Dragon Breath would make an apt substitute, because I really dislike the move, and I feel like if I was high leveled enough I would be able to survive with it. Is Outrage a physical or special move? Also, am I completely stupid, or do I have to beat the Elite 4 Before I get into Kanto?

February 6th, 2011 3:27 PMjdthebudOutrage is to be used sparingly, and that's why Bitter Berries were invented. Return will be a good move for a lot of Pokemon, it should be your main attack. You will be really overleveled, you know. Consider this: Outrage has 135 power with STAB, Return 102, Ice Punch 75 (150 against pokemon weak to it), and Fly 105 with STAB. I think you'll be fine. Just don't use Outrage when your health is low. You should be able to survive any ice attacks with Dragonite's good defenses. When you fight Red, you might want to teach him Thunder for Blastoise, as he has Blizzard, but that should be your only problem in the whole game.

February 6th, 2011 12:59 PMFolkedahlEh, but outrage confuses me and I am absolutely in hate with confusion. Plus, if they send out something you can't OHKO with outrage you're basically screwed.

February 5th, 2011 6:56 PMjdthebudDragonite moves: Ice Punch, Fly, Outrage, Return
Ice Punch is mostly for Lance/Clair and ground types. Fly and Outrage for STAB. Return is a neutral attack with high PP and good for Dragonite's high Attack. The only pokemon in the Elite four who will wall this is Foretress, but he has low Special defense. It's unfortunate that he can;t learn Earthquake in this gen :(.
