Things have been just great. School's been going swimmingly, got a good SAT score, and I'm finally back to making progress on fanfictiony matters. I'll actually be posting a chapter in a few minutes.

It's sure nice to be back. Can't wait to see what goes down with that revolution thing. I might have a hand in it as well, if I make the time to stick around.

That shows how often I check my own rules. But it's been changed.

Things have been crazy. Sometimes up, sometimes down, sometimes we're all friendly towards one another, and sometimes people think the moderator is going to go completely insane and kill everyone and zieself. To some it all up: It's typical F&W.

Right now, we're all planning a revolution for the section, where the quality standards are upped. I'm not really sure what's going on. Honestly, I'm out of the loop. With what's going on now, I just stick my head in, glance things over, and then post to show that I'm still among the living.

So how've things been for you? Glad to see your return, by the way.

Hi thar, Asty. Thought I'd poke my head in now that I'm trying to get active again and say that there's a broken link in the Rules thread. It's the "Literature Ratings" one, instead of http://www.fictionratings.com/guide.php it should be just http://www.fictionratings.com .

So, how have things been around here? I've been kind of out of the loop for a while.

Thought I'd drop a word off here while I'm still finding a few minutes now and then to check PC. Wish I had more time for forums and fanfics and such, but I've just been swamped at school and with personal matters as of the last few months. How are things going with you?

Yours was one of the ones I didn't have time to review. For the raw scores, it was:

    Grammar - 10
    Literary elements - 9
    Use of Prompt - 10

    Total score - 29/30

*thinks back* If I remember this correctly, the one point was taken off since I wanted more tear-jerking emotions, to make the character's plight (I'm horrible with names), the one that was going to die, more powerful or something. Like, make him more "I'm not going to be sad that that's wrong with me!" I think that's what it was.

Anyhow, that's my score for you, so there you go.

    Hi there, Asty!

I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to judge in the contest. If I'm correct, this is the first time you've read any of my stuff, so I'm really anxious to know what you thought of it. I know reviews take a lot of time, so do you think you could just tell me the raw scores? I might die of anticipation otherwise. No pressure, though! :)

I have no idea what you are implying, my good sir.

I filled up an entire bookcase with just Card books.

Nice avatar. They say the way to a man's heart is through his local baseball team. ;)

I love when they make it so obvious that they are a troll. One post, and they're gone! Which also means easy clean-up when they are gone.

That was a short-lived troll, best kind.

It should be a rule that all future FFL posts need to rhyme.

Unfortunately, I am not that awesome. Nor do I have an awesome hat. Nor is my snark all that alive anymore. Nor have I seen the most recent ZP.

Therefore, all clues point to fail on my end.

Since you've changed your avatar, I can't help but using Yahtzee's voice in my head whenever I read your posts. It's kind of creepy.

(If you actually were Yahtzee, that'd make it even creepier.)

It's the same thing with Sister Carrie. Dreiser would be ripped apart for telling the reader everything instead of showing, and for not proof-reading away his unclear sentences.

I've heard of that game! Of course, I've never played it, since I was just a wee child of four when it came out. All I can say about it is that I know that OSC worked on the script for a small portion of the game.
