Also in other news, the 3DS will still get support in 2018 and beyond:

Animation fluidity is the reason why some westerners prefer western cartoons over anime.

Unfortunately, animation fluidity is what I care less about.

Have you not seen that video I've posted months ago about how the art style is actually beneficial to the anime? Have you not seen any other anime with a similar art style like Studio Trigger's works?

Still, the art style is too drastic. Also, there's been a notable lack of battling, meaning they have "nerfed" Ash and Pikachu in a way, but not the way everyone expected.

It's like they wanted to keep the competent battle skills, but also make Ash not look as strong by having much less battling involved.

Hate to break it to you, but I'm in agreement with Serebii's anime section on this one, and I've been banned from SPPF for years now. Me and Cid have constantly told you many times before about how the art style and personality has not affect Ash as a character, as what they're doing is a smart way to not nerf Ash like they did in Best Wishes and nerf Pikachu like they always do in every region (none of his Pokémon back then were knocked out by Hala's Pokémon, which is a surprise after facing the first gym leader in XY).

    Some bad news.

I decided to quit Serebii Forums because the anime section was so heated. My disinterest in the Sun & Moon anime has caused to be constantly targeted for failing to recognise its positive aspects, which I feel this saga doesn't have at all (and even if it did have positive aspects, there isn't a lot) since the art style and nerfing to Ash's personality has all but blacked out my mind, causing me to bash those aspects constantly.

If you go into Serebii's anime section, literally everyone posting there acts as a defender of the Sun & Moon anime and will attack anyone who even shows disinterest or trying to point out its flaws. Those losers love to make sure Sun & Moon is recognised as the perfect series of the anime, which is so sad.

Funny you should say about serious themes becoming a "thing of the past," because Cid is telling me the exact opposite towards westerners in regards to the whole "anime will die in X years" hysteria.

I tend to blame it on Yo-Kai Watch because it popularized slapstick anime in Japan and made me start to feel extremely concerned that Japanese kids only like it because of their short attention spans, and if more shows keep catering to that genre then serious themes in anime and manga will become nothing but a "thing of the past".

Teen Titans Go! is a show I don't watch a lot but I do hear all the complaints directed at it and of course why it clogs up Cartoon Network's schedule (which again, causes complaints from fandoms of other CN shows).

We've gotten slapstick anime that predate Yo-Kai Watch, even American cartoons such as the infamous Teen Titans GO. I'm starting to feel concern of you, because you might becoming like the people who hate these games.

It's mainly because the SM anime reminds me way too much of Yo-Kai Watch, an anime that popularized slapstick in Japan and makes me worry that they don't like serious plots in anime. That's why I have all those salty feelings, along with Ash looking too derpy. He now looks like he belongs in a meme with all that slapstick he's becoming victim of.

Your hatred towards the SM anime is just as bad, if not worse, than my hate towards Serena's redesign. A few of us have told you many times as to why the changes were made for the anime, and so far, it has not affected the anime's overall quality. Ash is still the same Ash from the last saga, and Pikachu didn't get nerfed this time.

It is odd, but maybe it's because her tomboy aspect is being focused, and what better way to show it than recognizing the most masculine Unova starter as her supposed canon starter?

I just find it strange that a slender girl like Hilda would have an obese Pokémon like Emboar as her starter.
