March 12th, 2015 7:09 PMRediamondI know, but it seemed to be relatively dead when I looked at it. Multishipping and the anime/manga in general are probably the biggest differences I've seen. Multishipping is barely seen on general Pokemon forums and when it does rear it's head it tends to die fairly quickly. And, perhaps because their bases are devoted primarily to the games, the forums tend to have many more game-verse stories than ff.net.

And I can understand why you're hesitant in saying Pokemon fan fiction in an overall sense as each site tend to have a different community (which stories/characters/pairings tend to be more popular and such).

March 11th, 2015 7:33 PMRediamondI didn't come across much romance when I was on Serebii to be honest, or I self-selected to avoid it. I'm always a bit hesitant to refer to "Pokemon Fan Fiction" as a group, though, because Serebii and Bulbagarden are really different from fanfiction.net in many fundamental ways. I tend to use fanfiction.net as the "normal" since the community is so much bigger than all the forums combined. That site is undeniably dominated by anime shipping fics. The forums tend to have fewer anime characters in general, so the romance is more between game characters or OCs. Never used Livejournal, Dreamwidth, tumblr, or deviantart so I can't comment on them.

March 11th, 2015 7:15 PMBayI was referring to Pokemon fan fiction. There it basically is almost entirely manga and anime shipping.Oh, all right. Sorry for the confusion! Hm, I would think there would be several Pokemon fics that have the game characters paired together. Then again, I see that a bit more in Serebii forums and a few journal sites like Livejournal and Dreamwidth.
