April 21st, 2011 10:49 PMMoltsWow that's amazing that someone could calculate all the variables to figure out exactly what is needed. That seems likes some impressive stuff, but I would agree with you, breeding and raising different parents to get the perfect egg seems a bit more fun. Heh, I couldn't say that any of my current Pokemon are perfect, nor have I ever seen a shiny in game(that I could capture).

April 21st, 2011 10:44 PMOryxRNG technically does mean that, but the way RNG works for Pokemon, is there are things you can do ingame to affect what Pokemon you're going to get, like the time you start it, any button presses when the game starts, how many times you move, if you save, etc. The program calculates what exactly you need to do and you can pretty much get any Pokemon you could ever want :P That's how he got his nearly-perfect shiny Axew, with RNG, along with his perfect Dragonite, Reuniclus, and Volcarona. I don't want to RNG, I'd rather breed, but it's really interesting stuff. xD

April 21st, 2011 10:37 PMMoltsI actually really enjoy breeding, when you finally get the perfect one it's powerful feeling of success. I considering myself mostly knowledgeable, but I've never heard of RNG, in the Pokemon sense, RNG to me means Random Number Generator. Shiny Haxorus is very awesome, congrats on acquiring one. :D

April 21st, 2011 8:57 PMOryxHey, welcome to PC (: I joined for pretty much the same reasons, and I've quickly become pretty knowledgeable, so hopefully it's the same way for you. If you're interested in IVs and EVs but don't want to go through the work of breeding constantly or are a perfectionist, you might want to check out RNG, that's what my boyfriend does and right now I'm helping level his shiny Axew (have you seen shiny Haxorus? So awesome) with nearly perfect IVs. xD Have fun at PC!
