May 25th, 2013 7:42 AMCassafrass1999Haha, thanks. :3 I never thought of them being pets or being cute before either, but that has DEFINITELY changed by now... XD But yeah, 30 years is a loooooooooong time... XD But yeah, I think they are pretty cute. :3 And depending on the species, they can get to the size of a grapefruit or baseball! :o

May 25th, 2013 6:05 AMSquirrelThat's a really cool story, it's awesome that you're so attached to them :o I've never really considered hermit crabs as being pets before, let alone seeing them as cute things XD And 30 years is a huuuuge time wow :o I guess they are pretty cute though!
How big do they tend to get? :o -
May 23rd, 2013 1:40 PMCassafrass1999I chose them as pets since I had just kept mice as pets for a long time, and was starting to get antsy for a new pet (my parents said I could only keep one type of small pet at a time), so I waited for them to eventually pass away naturally (I know this sounds mean, but I really did love them! I had just kept them as pets for years and decided it was time for a change, if you know what I mean). I then went to a sleepover at a friend's house who I had never been to before, and they had hermit crabs there (in horrible conditions, yes, but they were hermies nonetheless). ;) I then became very attached to them, and grew to love them. After my last, and oldest, mouse finally passed away (she live for around three years I think!) I got my hermies. :) And how I do love them...they can live up to around 30 years if kept in ideal conditions, so I will definitely have them for a LONGGGGG time, and I don't think I will ever want to get rid of them regardless! XD Just some of their antics are climbing upside down on the screen lid that covers their "crabitat", spilling all of their water and food dishes so I have to clean them up in the morning (they are mostly nocturnal, although they do still come out during the daytime. Nightime is their "party" time, and is usually the time these antics come in place!), making gopher "holes" in the thick substrate they have (six inches of Eco Earth, which is a special dirt like substrate for them!), and more...they really are fascinating, even if they are little buggers sometimes. ;)

May 22nd, 2013 5:48 PMCassafrass1999Yes, you are correct that that is the third PS1 Spyro game, and I agree! It is SOOOO amazing! I actually think it may have been my first Spyro game I have played ever! :D I <3 the skateboarding as well! :D
I chose hermit crabs because I have five as pets, and I just <3 their cute little antics and their cuteness overall (in my opinion). :3 I am even a member of the Hermit Crab Association, which is one of the (maybe actually is!) largest hermit crab forum out there! :D -
May 22nd, 2013 12:38 PMSquirrelMy favourite is Year of the Dragon! (I think that's it? The third PS1 game XD) It was soooooooooo good, played it non-stop :D And the skateboarding park was so fun XD
Hermit crabs are cool wow, what made you choose them? :o -
May 20th, 2013 6:52 PMCassafrass1999Hi! I am definitely cheerful, LOL, and it's nice to meet you! :D
First off, my favorite Spyro games are each one in the Legend of Spyro series, but Skylanders is a VERY close second (how can I pick just ONE Spyro game to be my fav? XD ) What is/are yours? :) Plus, I DO love animals...I like squirrels. :3 They are very cute! :D But my favorite animal is hermit crabs (with kitties and doggies as a close second!) :3 -
