November 8th, 2013 4:51 PMkaratekid552The graphics actually have to be loaded between the time that check the box and then save the log. which means, you check the box, go into the grass and encounter a battle, then save the log.

November 8th, 2013 10:02 AMMrElephantthanks I am sorry about that. I was in a rush earlier. Sometime you will have to teach me about the swf in vba. I just couldnt seem to find it. I checked the box, ran the game in vba, and all the stuff came up, searched through notepad for it and nothing came up...

I found this for emerald.:P Now look it up in GBA Graphics Editor and then see if you can find the table it goes in. -
November 7th, 2013 4:01 PMMrElephantI am still having trouble finding the background. Could you possibly help me out. Do you have time? Are you actually on right now?

October 25th, 2013 12:53 PMkaratekid552That is fine. Logging in VBA may not work. Get the newest version of VBA-M. That is what I use.

October 25th, 2013 8:38 AMMrElephantI might need your help to go through the whole process
if you are willing that is :/
We emerald editors dont have too many tutorials
edit: cant seem to get the logging property to work. -
October 25th, 2013 6:58 AMkaratekid552I have only done it on FR. I have no idea for Emerald, but if you can find the images, it shouldn't be too hard. Try using the logging feature in VBA to log all BIOS calls, and search for SWI 0x12 (LZ Decompression). The results contain the offsets of all images loaded to the screen as they load.

October 25th, 2013 5:40 AMMrElephantAll right I will do that as soon as I have time. I think that WWMB (the emerald offset guy) might have some stuff in his thread.
But I do have a question do you know how to insert the background behind birch in the intro in pokemon ruby. I am trying to do it for emerald, but I already know that no one would have done that (and put up a tutorial). I have searched around whack a hack, but nothing came up. Anyways thanks again. -
October 24th, 2013 5:14 PMkaratekid552Feel free. If you wouldn't mind, post all of you findings (like tables offsets and stuff) on the end of the thread. I'll add them in so others can use them.:)

October 24th, 2013 10:52 AMMrElephantFound your battle background tutorial. I am trying to get it to work with emerald. I have read your post about how to do it with other games, I just havent gotten around to trying it yet... If I have any questions could I potentially ask you. (I know how much you like questions) Thanks again for the tutorial. :)

April 6th, 2013 2:30 AMkaratekid552Haha, I like answering questions, it isn't what makes me busy:p I hope you have a good day too!
-
April 5th, 2013 6:35 PMMrElephantI see that you are still trying your best to help everyone. You should answer less questions so you are less busy. :) Thanks again for pointing me in the directions of offsets that one time, but I have to say that I already new the thread you pointed me to lol. Anyways I hope you have a good day.
