November 25th, 2011 8:20 PMdeoxys121When I say Action Replay, I mean it's a cheating device. But, by competitive rules, what I do is not cheating. And as far as tips, PokeRus doubles the EV gain of Pokemon. If you want, you could trade your Pokemon over to me and I could check their EVs, and infect them with PokeRus.

November 25th, 2011 6:47 PMParkRangerOH OK now i getcha thats what i thought u were saying this whole time but i was confused lol so i had to make sure lol ...... do u got an tips on ev training pokes
-
November 25th, 2011 5:13 PMdeoxys121You don't get EVs from Rare Candies. I still legitimately EV-train my Pokemon. I just use Rare Candies to bring them to Lv100.

November 25th, 2011 4:28 PMParkRangeroh ok but u still have ot lv up to get the stat change right?......
and if battleing a poke gets u an ev then how would u get ev's u need from RareCandies -
November 25th, 2011 3:32 PMdeoxys121OK, let me try to clarify: Prior to Generation V games, you would have to level-up your Pokemon or put it in the PC to see the stat change from the EV training. But, in Generation V, those stat changes are seen immediately after the battle.

November 25th, 2011 3:09 PMParkRangerlol what now im confused..... im good with everything up to the worlds GE V but after that im confused lol
-
November 25th, 2011 3:03 PMdeoxys121Yep, at Lv100, 4 EVs increases a stat by one point. Therefore, cap the EVs on a stat at 252, not 255, since the last 3 would not give you anything. Before Gen V, yes, you had to level-up or put your Pokemon in the PC to gain the stat boost.

November 25th, 2011 2:55 PMParkRangeryeah i thought the more you battle a pokemon that (lets say give atk ev's) the more of those you'll get when u lv up.... (and something about it takes f4 evs to make 1 stat point
-
November 24th, 2011 9:15 PMdeoxys121Nope. You don't have to level up to get EVs. You get EVs each time you win a battle, and stats are recalculated after each battle. Action Replay for max Battle Points is helpful to get Battle Subway items, including Rare Candies.

November 24th, 2011 9:04 PMParkRangerlol i dont have an Action Replay game card thing ahahah
and oh so thats how everyone does lv 100 so fast ...... od you still get ev's from RareCandies -
November 24th, 2011 9:03 PMdeoxys121Well, when it comes to EV-training, Action Replay is very helpful, as it lets you check EVs and IVs, and it can be used to Rare Candy your Pokemon to Lv100 so you can do 6v6 battles.

November 24th, 2011 9:01 PMParkRangerum i know i tried ot ev's trai them but not how to check them lol

November 24th, 2011 9:00 PMdeoxys121I must say, that strategy with Will-o-Wisp, then Taunt on my staller Bronzong is a good strategy. Do you know your Pokemon's EVs?
