When I say Action Replay, I mean it's a cheating device. But, by competitive rules, what I do is not cheating. And as far as tips, PokeRus doubles the EV gain of Pokemon. If you want, you could trade your Pokemon over to me and I could check their EVs, and infect them with PokeRus.

You don't get EVs from Rare Candies. I still legitimately EV-train my Pokemon. I just use Rare Candies to bring them to Lv100.

OK, let me try to clarify: Prior to Generation V games, you would have to level-up your Pokemon or put it in the PC to see the stat change from the EV training. But, in Generation V, those stat changes are seen immediately after the battle.

Yep, at Lv100, 4 EVs increases a stat by one point. Therefore, cap the EVs on a stat at 252, not 255, since the last 3 would not give you anything. Before Gen V, yes, you had to level-up or put your Pokemon in the PC to gain the stat boost.

yeah i thought the more you battle a pokemon that (lets say give atk ev's) the more of those you'll get when u lv up.... (and something about it takes f4 evs to make 1 stat point

Nope. You don't have to level up to get EVs. You get EVs each time you win a battle, and stats are recalculated after each battle. Action Replay for max Battle Points is helpful to get Battle Subway items, including Rare Candies.

Well, when it comes to EV-training, Action Replay is very helpful, as it lets you check EVs and IVs, and it can be used to Rare Candy your Pokemon to Lv100 so you can do 6v6 battles.

I must say, that strategy with Will-o-Wisp, then Taunt on my staller Bronzong is a good strategy. Do you know your Pokemon's EVs?
