Hey Twig - after a long sequence of dead GPUs and being too lazy to RMA I went with HD6570. Does everything I want it to :D

    133, not bad at all..

Is it only the Macbooks? (With the demise of the original Macbook I refer to the Pros as Macbooks now)

Funny thing about Ultrabooks is that they tend to end up having similar specifications for a given price, give or take.

MacBook Airs don't have Retina Display xD

133 PPI is still the second highest PPI they have for portable Macs, though.

Ohhh you really wanted an Ultrabook? Then you probably went right with the Macbook.. xD
Although I'd say a decent gaming Alienware would be just as good, you're right - those Apple trackpads just can't be beat. Is it the Retina Display screen? :3

Have you ever tried out the other laptops in person?

As it turns out, specification sheets aren't everything. Sometimes, you have to use, look, and hold the system yourself. I blame the screen and trackpad.

Besides, since a MacBook Air's equivalent are Ultrabooks, you'd looking at at least $700 anyway.

Why did you buy a Macbook Air if you were just going to install windows 7? 'Cos you could've gotten easily yourself a 512GB SSD, 3.0GHz+ Core i7, 8GB of RAM, and a darn sexy GPU in a non-Apple laptop for a lot less than a MBA..

The feeling of flesh being burnt by laptop underside. :(

I'm still on 1.2.6... Maybe it's about time I update.

Version 1.3.1 of Minecraft runs faster on my lappy.

Also, my laptop loves to go toasty whenever I do something more than just browsing.

CPU or GPU? Whatever it is, it feels just as efficient as my old desktop when it's not a 3D game.
