Clannad's certainly up there for me as well, and definitely first in the drama and slice-of-life genres. I really felt sorry for Tomoya during AS, the whole time I was just sitting there thinking: "How much more are they going to make him suffer?". :< I certainly agree that Ryou had it worse than Kyou. I thought her shyness was over exaggerated and extended too far by KyoAni, leaving her in Kyou's (and even Nagisa's) shadow most of the time. It's a shame that they were left only with an OVA, I mean, even Fuuko got an entire arc! (even though that did have some really funny moments to it.)

Totally agree with you on that. Clannad tops every anime in existence, at least as far as I know. I'm so lucky to have been introduced to it, by my good friend Jordan. ^^ I think the Fujibayashi twins are some of the most forgotten as well. Kyou is basicially there for comedy purposes while Ryou is outclassed by Nagisa. Add in the fact that their arcs were so unfullfilling, and you have a pair of unapperciated characters. I believe Ryou has it worse though, as she's not even featured in the title screen. : ( Why can't people understand their epicness? >.<

Yeah, I enjoyed the OVA but I did feel that it was a bit shallow considering how the main story (specifically ~After Story~) had focused on Nagisa's route. But seeing as I watched all 49 episodes pretty much one after the other, I don't think I was as excited as perhaps some of the other Kyou fans. I think both sisters could have had some more airtime during the main series, given how almost every other character had a major arc. But even without that, I think Clannad is probably the beautiful and emotional anime I've yet to see.

Thank you very much. Credit to Jordan for making it for me. Kyou's another one of my favorites, she's really headstrong, and a take-charge kind of person who also has a sensitive side toward Ryou. I felt really sorry for both her and Ryou in episode 18 when they cried together. I bet, as a Kyou fan, you liked her OVA? I had kind of hoped for a Ryou one, but the Kyou one was beautiful nonetheless.

Oooh hii~ I like your Ryou theme. Her expression's funny. ^^ But personally I prefer Kyou out of the two I think. :3
