April 26th, 2008 6:16 PMAyano KatagiriOh, that'd make it easier to get then...
Okay. XD -
April 26th, 2008 8:36 AMAizukeI think she might have a friend that sells them.. :x
Nevertheless, I shall tell her you envy her too. XD -
April 26th, 2008 1:53 AMAyano KatagiriThey're not that cheap! Or at least when I went to buy them they weren't. XD
I envy your friend too. -
April 26th, 2008 1:46 AMAizukeShe said they're like a dollar there. XD She has a whole library of mangas :< How I envy her.
-
April 26th, 2008 1:43 AMAyano KatagiriI'd expect so, since they've been translated and then imported. They're about $20 for a volume, while it's like only $10? perhaps in Japan for comparison.
-
April 26th, 2008 1:41 AMAizukeYeah it was one of those shows where they show you new gizmos and whatnot. XD
I have a japanese friend in my class. She said the manga's here are really expensive.. XD; -
April 26th, 2008 1:38 AMAyano KatagiriO_O Whoa... that one sounds really hard out. I haven't seen any that do voice recognition, but yeah.
I'll just keep stealing my friend's one when I need it during Japanese instead. xD -
April 26th, 2008 1:34 AMAizukeYeah they would be, but it was pretty cool. The guy spoke in it in english and it translated back into whatever language he wanted. And it works for signs too, you'd take a picture of a sign with the device and it would translate it for you.
-
April 26th, 2008 1:30 AMAyano KatagiriA couple of my classmates do too, since we take in international students.
I haven't seen any of that stuff here before. They're pretty expensive. D: -
April 26th, 2008 1:29 AMAizukeOh, someone has one of them at my school, because she doesn't know much english.
I did see a electronic translator on TV the other day though, I don't know if they're for sale yet. :x -
April 26th, 2008 1:27 AMAyano KatagiriWell, dictionaries. Which are close enough, aren't they?
-
April 24th, 2008 10:41 PMAizukeThey have electronic phrase books? O_O
-
April 24th, 2008 7:11 PMAyano KatagiriYeah. I found a phrase book more useful than a dictionary too... not suprisingly though. XD It took me ages to flip through it everytime.
An electronic one is awesome though. -
April 24th, 2008 1:48 AMAizukeOh well, if I don't learn japanese before I go to Japan, if I ever go, then phrase book it is.. XD
But it would be cool to learn japanese, so I'll try to make the effort in learning. :< -
April 23rd, 2008 4:49 PMAyano KatagiriThe easy things are all you need to start with. Everything else... can be depended on the phrase books. xD
