Ouch, that does sound nasty. I've hit things pretty hard unintentionally due to my reflexes too. Do you know for sure it's broken though? You probably already know this but putting ice on it is a good idea.

I've met a few other people who are pretty similar to me in terms of hobbies and whatnot. Suppose the odds aren't so unreasonable as it initially seems.

I actually don't use msn that much nowadays either. I'm technically on msn frequently but I don't actually talk to many people at all on there.

That is quite a high score to try and obtain. Which is a good thing. Aiming for something tough to reach will make you stronger. I was OK at school and college. I got decent grades but nothing that outstanding. I was a pretty average student in all honesty. I actually wanted to do Physics at university but I got a C for that subject in college and an A for maths. I decided to stick to what I'm good at and did a maths degree instead. I did well at university, achieving a First Class Honours Degree in the Bachelor of Sciences, Mathematics. I had a fantastic room mate though and without him, I would not have achieved it. How about you then?

My friend's cat bit me --she doesn't like me :((--, and upon reflex, my hand hit a closet. I can't feel my right hand!

OH! Really? That's pretty interesting. Haha, the odds that we both did karate and you considered dancing and I dance. :O

Yeah, MSN wasn't always my thing. There was a time where I used it for hours and hours and skipped my curfew just because I want to chat. Now, I rarely use anything related to instant messaging, well, except for BlackBerry Messenger that I sometimes use.

Thanks! :) I hope to score at least an 85. This is my finals exam, I HAVE TO PASS! I took just a just below average score on my last quiz. :(( How were you in university/school/blah?

Oh dear. How did you manage to break your hand?

There are some similarities between Karate and dancing in that both require precision in foot work and a good amount of stamina. There was one point where I considered taking dancing lessons to improve those qualities as well as my agility. Our little secret.

Our educational systems are different (I am from the UK) but with a maths degree, I can say with reasonable confidence that I should be able to attempt most calculus based questions.

No worries about the msn. If you do decide to get a new one, feel free to add me.

Get well soon and good luck with the exam tomorrow.

My Internet isn't working!!!! ): I'm stealing borrowing the WiFi service from my neighbors, yaay! And I broke my hand! And I have an accounting exam tomorrow! And my dad is traveling tomorrow! :((((

That is a cool photo! I don't think I have a belt, lol, but you seem pretty good in it. I'm taking dancing lessons instead now. I seem fitted more into dancing than karate lol.

Thanks for the offer. :) What level of maths do you teach? You teach like Calculus 1,2,3 and stuff like that?

I had MSN, but it has been more than a years since I last used it, and I totally forgot the password! I'll probably make another one some day.

    You're very welcome.

I believe the ultimate dream for all humans is to achieve true happiness (whatever that is) and try to maintain / preserve it. I do think it's kind of bad of your father to influence you in your career choice in all honesty but like I mentioned earlier, if you're happy with it then I see no problem.

Not everyone is born to lead or can be meld into a leader. Nevertheless a King is nothing without his people. Even if you don't take up your father's mantle, I'm sure you'll still be a crucial piece to his organisation.

If you ever need any help with maths feel free to drop me a line, though since you know someone in real life who tutors maths, my offer is probably unnecessary.

Yeah I also started Karate when I was a kid. I'm currently a first dan black belt. Here's a photo.

    Spoiler:

By the way, do you have msn? If so, feel free to add me. You can find it in my contact details on my profile page. Have a goodnight.

Oh, and I have to go now. It's getting rather late, like 2:00 AM late, and I have university at 9:00 AM. So much for getting sleep! It was nice meeting you! <3 Thanks for this conversation, Drakow. (:

Yeah, some people actually said that I should have followed my dream, you know what most people say, but to be honest, I can't just leave my dad. Our family isn't big, lol. Well, I work three days each week, for a couple of hours each. But, my dad doesn't pressure me to go if I don't want to, since there are times where I return home extremely tired. I don't know about taking over the company, lol. I suck at commanding people and taking over something. :(

I love maths tutors! I met someone on in my dad's bank who tutored maths and basically made me pass a maths course. Ah, you are helpful! That's sweet. It's nice to think about others and how you can influence their lives, regardless of how you are helping. You know karate? :O I remember learning a bit as a kid, lol. I don't remember why. I was a weird girl.

I envy you quite a lot right now. Your short term future is pretty much sorted. Since you're still doing your degree, how often do you work as an assistant? I wouldn't worry too much about your lack of knowledge in the bank at the moment. It's certainly understandable and you're working for free anyway. I actually had a friend at university whose circumstances were very similar to yours. He finished his degree and joined his father's company and I believe he will take over the company when the time comes.

I used to be a maths tutor at my university and I quite enjoyed my job. It was basically helping students out with maths and general queries at the maths support centre. I also had to do some administrative duties like working through a bunch of maths exercise sheets to check for errors. I do like teaching people and just helping them in general. I also sometimes help my karate instructor teach the younger pupils when needed. It just gives me a sense of happiness and achievement knowing that someone like me can be of assistance to others. The thing is though, I'm not sure if I would want to teach for a living or for a school. I think I would quite like tutoring though or maybe teaching a very small class.

Really? Hahaha. Yeah, pretty much. I'm the only daughter, too, so much of the responsibility of perpetuating the business lies in my hands. No pressure, right? :( I actually kind of work in the bank now (well, it's been a week now), as an assistant of an accountant dude or something like that, lol. No pay, though!

Oh okay. It seems you are working hard for a job. Yeah, building experience first is a great thing to do. I actually hoped I had a chance to work before; I feel like an idiot amongst the people who are training in the bank, lol.

Haha, Mechanical Engineering would have been right up your alley if you're lazy. They say that Mathematicians and such are the laziest people out there. So once you have completed your degree, you plan to work with your father in his company? As long as you're happy, that's the important thing.

As far as things go for me, I don't really know right now. I've been applying for stuff in the financial sector but also been applying for administrative and analytical based roles. Honestly I just want to get out there and rack up some experience. Then maybe I'll develop an idea of what I want to do with my life.

That's pretty awesome. Well, my first choice was Mechanical Engineering, but I had to derail from that choice because of my dad and because I am too lazy. He owns a bank and stuff. I didn't mind though. I'm pretty satisfied.

What kind of work are you looking for?

I completed my Maths degree and graduated last year. Currently looking for work. What was your possible first choice to major in then?

Business Administration. This wasn't essentially my first choice of major, but it's going great now. How about yourself?
