February 4th, 2012 11:43 PM22saFat cats <3
Nope, it doesn't show as a .gif on Safari. =(
Nisemonogatari? All right.
I'm not doing much, studying math and Japanese on my free time, flirting with girls over the internet mostly youtube. -
January 20th, 2012 8:53 PMChairman KagaHey! I totally slipped up on keeping the VM convo alive again. My bad. I finally found my camera so I'll have lots of adorable fat cat pix to you as recompense.
Have you seen the avatar in motion? It's Kanbaru Suruga from Nisemonogatari, good anime if you can handle tons of dialogue and a touch of questionable content. Did the animation myself, I can finally create gifs in Adobe ImageReady without the use of a tutorial. Success!
You up to anything lately? -
January 19th, 2012 10:15 PM22saSup, cute new avy
-
January 8th, 2012 7:12 PM22saAll's good on the cleanliness front then. What about their claws? ;o;
Oh, R.I.P. But congrats on Poppy. I'd hug Poppy all the time ;o;
Did you watch Clannad?
I don't watch TV. :\
I don't have a convincing business solution either. -o- *cough* Not enough talent.
At least you know you can be a trade guy. Apply for jobs in that area, keep practicing, and maybe a productive opportunity will open up one day. -
January 3rd, 2012 9:18 PMChairman KagaIndeed, cats are fastidious bathers. They spend a significant portion of their day licking their fur clean, so they're always nice and fresh (and sometimes slightly wet).
Sad news, my oldest cat died on New Year's Day. He was two months short of 16. That morning, he got the strength to crawl under the Christmas tree, after which he entered his death throes and passed about 15 minutes later. It was very hard to watch, and I'll always have a hole in my heart as he's been my lifelong friend, but his suffering is over. His death will ensure that a future kitten that I adopt will have a life that it otherwise wouldn't have had.
My little fat cutie's name is Poppy. My sister has insisted on the past couple of cats having floral-themed names, though this one kind of works because she's a calico so she has the same orange and black coloration as the flower. I would have pics except I misplaced my camera for a week or so.
Glad to hear you're doing okay, I'm understandably not in the best emotional state right now but I'm managing. I'll want to continue on as long as there's some new game or anime that catches my eye, which there fortunately always is. About opening a business, it's always been a personal aspiration. My parents were antique dealers when they were younger and if nothing else passed the ability to buy low and sell high on to me. One of my favorite shows on TV is Pawn Stars, which airs on History here. Not sure if you get it up there. It follows a family of pawn brokers in Las Vegas who do millions in business each year because of their sharp acumen. I've always secretly dreamed of a life where I peddle treasures and oddities in a quaint little shop. Problem is most people I meet who are living that dream are independently wealthy and do it as a hobby in their declining years, not as a source of income.
I really don't know what kind of business I'd get into if I couldn't just be a buy/sell/trade guy. -
January 2nd, 2012 5:05 PM22saCats clean themselves?
lol What's the new fat cutie's name?
I'm fine, stirred some trouble here and nothing, nothing exciting. Ever thought about running a business of some sort? -
December 30th, 2011 10:31 AMChairman KagaOh hey, looks like I disappeared again.
It's a shame about the cat, in my lifelong experience they don't smell at all outside of the litterbox, which can be contained in a closet or other small space. Cats are more concerned with personal hygiene than virtually any other animal considering that they try to bury their feces and spend large portions of their day bathing themselves. It sounds like your dad might just be adverse to the idea of pets in general. Keep fighting the good fight, though.
My newest cat is now legitimately fat, she can barely go airborne when she jumps. It's adorable, I'll send pics.
How have you been lately? -
December 25th, 2011 12:54 PM22saLol, my proposal was rejected. Dad says the cat would stink up the house so bad he won't be able to sell it. What do you say to something like that? xD
Then I proposed Guinea Pig but he said those smell too. -
December 17th, 2011 10:46 PM22salulllll .... I forget my plants too. >< They've all died except this cactus, and it's a half-dead cactus.
Cats = independent you mean?
I don't find dogs nearly as cute. Guinea Pigs and Hamsters are awesome too!
LOL Okay I'm going to ask if I can bring a cat back home tomorrow and raise it. Muhaha! I hope I succeed.
So they don't lose their hair or anything when they die?
I don't think I've ever seen anyone even over 2 meters x_X
Umm... that's sounds just like playing the stock market. Too complicated for me -o- -
December 17th, 2011 1:27 AMChairman KagaTrust me, the house is only pretty at Christmas. It's a drab, soulless, cramped little abode the rest of the year. As far as plants go, not really. I used to keep cacti in my windowsills, but they all eventually died. Plants are strictly for the backyard now.
No other pets, I could easily become someone that has even more cats, though. I have a severe soft spot for stray animals and, well, cats just complement my personality. I don't dislike dogs (although I have a phobia of large dogs), I guess I just value independence over loyalty.
15 is the upper end of the average lifespan, 20 is statistically improbable. Lucky cat. My old cat just has a defeated look in his eyes, his legs and neck are also becoming scrawny while his chest becomes larger as he has congestive heart failure. It's a sad thing to behold, as he's been my constant companion since I was 8.
This particular cat has always been very large but not necessarily fat; just in body structure he's abnormally sturdy and big, bigger than some dog breeds. This was part of his downfall as his greater mass wore him out more quickly...same principle as 2.3+ meter tall people dying early because their hearts can't effectively circulate blood through their body, I suppose.
Fat cats are indeed quite huggable, though. My youngest cat is quite fat, though not from overfeeding. Female cats have a high probability of permanently gaining a lot of weight after being spayed, which happened to this one. She's squishy and just a pleasure to hold and cuddle.
About selling, it's really just games and dvds. Find something at a flea market, pawn shop, or yard sale for an abnormally low price, buy it, hope to sell it for more than what I paid. It's not always fun but I've managed to sustain my hobbies after having no income for a year and a half. -
December 17th, 2011 1:09 AM22saYou have a nice house eh? Pretty, cats... any other pets or plants?
15's pretty reasonable. Do they look different when they're almost dead? I've seen a 20 year old fat cat before, it was so cute I hugged it for 3 minutes straight.
Word. Ok, but else do you sell then? -
December 17th, 2011 1:06 AMChairman KagaI actually have four cats plus a few that hang around outside, though.....that number is going to be reduced to three soon. My oldest cat, 15, is sadly on death's door. I'll get you pics of my kitties tomorrow, hopefully doing adorable things.
I do use ebay, but only as a last resort when I can't get things to sell on other sites. Not a fan of how high ebay + paypal's fees have become. -
December 17th, 2011 1:02 AM22saI LOVE CATS! But I don't have one. How's your cat? Fat? You should take a picture of its funny behaviours like staring at your tree.
Oh, you don't use eBay? -
December 17th, 2011 12:52 AMChairman KagaI've always had a thing for white Christmas trees. I spent several years accumulating ornaments and I think it's paid off. I have a cat that's hypnotized by the blue LED lights and just stares endlessly at the tree. It's a source of endless amusement.
Yep, that's the room. Sums me up fairly well. Nerd on one end, historian on the other.
Well, that photobucket isn't private for any particular reason. It's actually one I use at another site and is just used for inventory photos for things I'm selling. I support my income by selling used videogames, dvds, etc. -
December 17th, 2011 12:47 AM22saWhite! Haven't seen many of those.
So that's your room -
Lol aw your photobucket is private. Oh well. Do your share your facebook here.
Oh, candy, there's no way you can't afford that, now go shopping. :P
