Hi Yellow. I was just wondering, if I made my third character in PTA, does the three pokemon limit for new students include eggs, or could they have three plus an egg?

I agree with that, Lincoln wouldn't last in Fallout as he is. If I were to change him to a point where he could survive, he's so different that if I gave him a different name, he'd be unrecognisable.

I personally refused to use any of my normal characters, because the world of Pokemon Fallout is, on a scale of 1 to 10 showing hardcoreness, meant to be a 10. PTA meanwhile is a 2, maybe a 3. I can't imagine any of my normal characters surviving that transition intact, either figuratively or literally. That is to say, the only way they would live is by changing to the point they no longer resembled themselves, which means changing their personalities down to the core concept. Unforunately that's not something I like doing.

Fair points. With this particular RP though, I think my characters most prominent trait is the giant electric tarantula living inside their head. I already like the character so much though that I'm considering doing the opposite of what a lot of other people have done. Instead of transfering a PTA character into Fallout, I might do it the other way around. We'll see though.

Eh, well sex is always relevant in how a character acts and thinks. There isn't a culture on earth where both sexes are raised the same and held to the same expectations. To properly play either sex one must understand the little nuances that make them different down to how they were raised and how their peers probably treated them.

It's not really that important though, I suppose. But going through the steps to /justify/ why a character does or does not fit the prototype of a male or female at any given time helps said character feel more realistic and feel more relatable, as opposed to just saying "This is how they act, trust me when I say there's a reason."

Thanks Yellow! And yeah. I've been roleplaying a long time, and probably played about as many women as men. I don't tend to interpret them any different based purely off of their gender, it's all about a persons past and current circumstances. Unless their gender is relevant to those, it shouldn't be a particular issue I don't think. Everyones a person.

You've been approved for Pokemon Fallout. Also, playing a lady I see? I'll be looking forward to see your interpretation of that.

You handle it yourself. Keeping in mind wild pokemon are all a certain level. (Stronger pokemon can appear and be fought, but they can't be caught without GM permission and all.)

Okay, thanks Yellow, I'll have a think. When it comes to wild pokemon and catching them, do we handle it ourselves and just write it up, or do we need a GM interaction to say "You encountered a wild Buizel!" or whatever?

Well, you've got 3 options. You can ask me to put it in so Lincoln can find it, have Lincoln wind up getting an egg of a Rhyhorn instead, or not get one at all. o_o

Oh, okay. It's just that a Rhyhorn is one of the pokemon Lincoln wants to catch, so I was wondering whether to play it that they were there, or that they weren't and to have him find out and be dissapointed. Not a big deal either way really.

Uuum, no. Well, there are multiple species of pokemon that aren't present on the island A Rhyhorn could be added to an area, I suppose. It really depends on whether people really want them on the island.

Hey Yellow. I was looking through the wild Pokemon in the PTA and noticed there were no members of the Rhyhorn family. Is that deliberate?
