October 15th, 2014 4:28 AMWobbuIf your plan allows regular texting, try going to Settings -> Messages -> and turn on Send as SMS. My phone is sending them as normal messages and not iMessages.
Also wow I ain't got time for that. -

October 2nd, 2014 10:06 PMAquacordesounds fine to me. there really is a lot going on this year and we dont have the best of activity to work with anyway. we should... probably think of winter events to do soon lol

October 2nd, 2014 9:46 PMWobbuhmmmm i'm not sure about doing Halloween events this year. With the 4 million other events going around on PC this month, I don't think people will be too attentive in PA. I was thinking about just doing a few streams of all the spooky episodes instead and having some special winter events in december. What do you think?

August 14th, 2014 5:39 AMAquacordeExactly. I am well sure that people who discuss Pokémon online are primarily NOT watching via a source that reports back on ratings. Even the legal ones- Netflix, Hulu, Pokemon.com- don't actually affect ratings. They may collect their own data, sure, but that has to be calculated in a completely different way and would actually report something entirely different than "what percentage of people are watching this at a given time". Unfortunately, ratings still tends to determine what stays on air because traditional media still haven't figured out how to ascertain what people are doing online and how to get their content to them while still benefiting their company etc etc. So ratings are something to talk about, yeah, but don't really reflect on the quality of the product or amount of interest it garners.

August 13th, 2014 11:10 PMWobbuI'm curious about ratings because I have a hunch that people who use the anime's ratings as a point of argument don't know what they're talking about.
I've gathered that both streaming and watching recorded episodes (including watching them on a DVR, which is what I do), rather than watching the episodes as they air, have a negative impact on the U.S. ratings because that data is not collected by the Nielsen Company. I couldn't find any info about how Japanese ratings are collected, but it appears the Nielsen method is the most widely used rating system around the world, so it's likely that Japanese ratings are affected in the same way. More people streaming/recording = less people watching television = lower ratings.
