By that logic, I'd suggest putting it in Computers and Technology... it doesn't really sound anything to do with Culture and/or Media, from what you've described it as, unfortunately.
I can see where you're coming from. But I didn't really want to talk about Hatsune Miku, but the fact that she isn't a real person, and what other people feel about a computer generated icon, instead of a real person.
Having had a look at the Wikipedia page for it, I'd suggest it'd be better off in J-E. I'm still not entirely sure WHAT it is, but from the looks of it, it appears more of a Japanese thing than anything else.
