January 3rd, 2016 5:56 AMIncinermynVery... Well, it covers all the basics on drawing humanlike forms, character-species design, and poses and moves progressively onto more advanced things like detailing, clothing, background development, one/two/three-point perspectives and a buttload of other stuff! XD

January 1st, 2016 8:10 PMNolafusThere you go! It seems like a promising book, haha.

January 1st, 2016 5:44 PMIncinermynHi, Nofalus! It's been a while, so I thought I'd drop you a line. I've been spending a lot of time offline working lately, but also trying to develop a better art style, keeping in mind what you said before about clothing details and expressions for characters. I feel like hadn't been making much improvements on that front since I somehow became obsessed with doodling butterflies with abstract wings for almost the past two or three months solid. However, I did find something cool just today that's suddenly gotten me motivated to draw regular characters again: http://www.pokecommunity.com/picture.php?albumid=9131&pictureid=81050 :P

November 21st, 2015 7:05 AMIncinermynThat doesn't surprise me... I get a lot of repair and rebuilds too that I need to work on. Flood damage accounts for most of my work, though, not windstorms. I'm not stranger to both, though.
Also, heh, I'm off today contrary to what I said, but I'm booked literally next door. :P My parents and I have been cleaning out my late-grandma's rental (not sure if I mentioned my sister moving out of it on us) and the landlord just brought carpet/vinyl for it last night.
That aside, I just got the new PMD game. I don't have high hopes given the progression of the series lately, but I may change my currently negative attitude towards Pokémon, which has been pretty sour for the better part of a year now... :x -
November 19th, 2015 9:24 PMNolafusYikes. We just had a wind storm with speeds of 70 mph, so all the contractors are booked for at least a month fixing houses and such.
-
November 19th, 2015 5:52 PMIncinermynYeah, I've been booked solid for the sixth week in a row... :x I may be working Saturday for my own customer, pending payment from a previous job my dad and I did for him... It can't be helped as he's just the maintenance man for a corporation that owns the rental townhouses he works at. Corporations have their own payroll schedules and it's normally two weeks out for the one in question, but it's been longer than that already...

November 19th, 2015 8:11 AMNolafusStill busy with work?
-
November 19th, 2015 4:06 AMIncinermynActually, I agree... Meh, that's what I mean. I can draw clothes, but they don't always look right... I need to practice, but haven't had time at all lately...
-
November 18th, 2015 11:15 PMNolafusI think that's a good start with the clothes. The hood does look a little weird with it being perfectly round with nothing in it, but clothes make me want to rip the paper in half, so I'm probably not the person to be giving critique about them, haha.

November 18th, 2015 6:59 PMIncinermynSame...but I haven't had time, so... https://www.furaffinity.net/view/18250599/ Forgive the lack of shading...it was just a quickie...
-
November 16th, 2015 5:35 PMNolafusOh yikes, hopefully you sort through it quickly enough!
-
November 16th, 2015 5:28 PMIncinermynIt's been unhooked since my sister moved out of our late-grandma's rental. I have it, but it's unplugged still and sitting in the corner of my bedroom until my parents and I can make room for it... Our house has been a mess since we started clearing out her place... We have no room for anything while we're trying to sort out what we need to put into storage for winter... :x

November 15th, 2015 3:39 PMNolafusWhat happened to the scanner?
-
November 15th, 2015 2:52 PMIncinermynYeah...heh, sorry, I just wish I had my scanner hooked back up... I just finished another surrealistic Pyra taking into account at least one of your suggestions from before (adding wrinkles in her clothing and trying to work on how her eyes look). I also did this spooky flare up with phantom arms lashing out from behind her (like hexers from the Etrian Odyssey series have in their character art) that I thought looked cool.

November 15th, 2015 11:38 AMNolafusHaha, a fair point. Well it sounds like it could be really cool.
