December 29th, 2012 12:16 PMClaire*The concept grew on me too. It took some time, but I came around. No, I never have. Kind of wish I had friends IRL who were into that kind of stuff. They all deem it too nerdy...
Oh...uhm...you're welcome? :P
Not really "often", but once or twice. That's why I'm typically tightlipped about character concepts. It looks like I might be the last to this rodeo however. So I'm not really stressed about it. haha xD -
December 29th, 2012 12:11 PMLilizukiAt first, I didn't know whether I liked the concept of fun, but it was actually quite enjoyable. I forget; did you say you've played tabletop games before?
Nice of you to offer, but no thanks. ;P
Does that happen often around these parts? I will admit that I worry about others "stealing" my concept before I've written out a character sheet, which is why I clear the nearest hour and write like crazy to get it done. :x -
December 29th, 2012 12:03 PMClaire*Fun is where it's at, don't you know? :3
Lol, a nibble if you will? :v
Yeah, I try and do the same. I hate when I think I have a great character only to discover that somebody already beat me to the concept... :( -
December 29th, 2012 11:55 AMLilizuki^_^ I have to say, Jim is my favorite of them all. He doesn't give a care about anything but fun. :3
Nothing wrong with a good bite here and there. :v
I'm always looking up tropes to improve my writing. Crystia is heavily based on the trope of an Agent of Chaos, for example, with a few moments of Jerkass God and Strange Girl. I just need to add a theme song to her character sheet, and she'll be in Nerdvana. -
December 29th, 2012 11:50 AMClaire*Yes, I love Darths and Droids. :3
Good, it would have gotten ugly... :P
Hey, have to indulge in a trope every now and then. haha. :) -
December 29th, 2012 11:42 AMLilizukiNow this station is now the ultimate power in the universe. I suggest we use it! (Unrelated; Have you ever read Darths & Droids?)
I'll take your word for it. ;)
The perverse Dwarf is a fairly common trope, so I wouldn't be disheartened! Plenty of banter to be had regardless. -
December 29th, 2012 11:36 AMClaire*I'll be sure to cover up that exhaust vent, don't you worry. ;)
I have plenty bite! Thank you very much. *pouts*
Wow, that kind of sounds just like my character... -
December 29th, 2012 11:33 AMLilizukiOf course, Darth Claire. Just make sure to get some plywood.
Unfortunately, foxes don't have much bite for their bark. ;)
Dwarves are funny. :3. There was a Dwarf in Dragon Age called Oghren, and your dwarf sounds like him. He was a flaming-haired stallion of a Dwarf, with a mug of ale in one hand and a perverse death wish in the other. -
December 29th, 2012 11:27 AMClaire*Hey, who wouldn't want a Death Star? I would love a Death Star personally. Wait...err... You didn't hear that...
It's a skill I'm quite proud of. ;)
Haha, that does sound pretty neat. I could see my character being a heavy gambler. He's probably going to be a drunkard too. Oh boy, my Dwarf is a mess. :P -
December 29th, 2012 11:24 AMLilizukiKickstarter isn't as silly as some of the petitions I've heard about on that Senate website. Building a Death Star, anyone? :v
You're wily as a fox. ;P
Well, there's the fun in making other mercenaries suffer! Crystia uses magic to twist fate in her favor, so she can make it happen for whoever pays the most. d: -
December 29th, 2012 11:14 AMClaire*When in doubt, Kickstarter! Are you kidding, I -only- have cameras that record that way. Pssh.
See. :P
Maybe she could be a compulsive gambler? It would be hilarious. Especially if she was terrible at it. haha. But a good gambler, where's the fun in that. ;) Also, yes...there is a severe shortage of evil smiley faces... >_> -
December 29th, 2012 11:10 AMLilizukiI wish there was an evil face smiley here. >_>
-
December 29th, 2012 11:09 AMLilizukiWe need to make a Kickstarter to alert the public to this deception. Do you have any cameras which record only in grainy footage, so we can collect evidence?
Nope, you did not. d:
Crystia would probably enjoy it for reasons related to her specific brand of magic. She'd be an excellent gambler. >:) -
December 29th, 2012 11:03 AMClaire*I thought I was the only one! :3
I never stated which way Anna swung.
Haha, true. Although, my character will probably appreciate the bouncing... I had to make a male just for that reason. There were way too many women characters and the lack of balance was going to kill me. haha :) -
December 29th, 2012 10:59 AMLilizukiD: But Wal-Mart has alien bees in their air conditioning!
Indeed!
I know, but I'd rather not slog through an unfun few months before getting to meet people. :s Besides, there needs to be a chick in the mercs that isn't bouncing her boobies around all the time. d:
